At 7:45 I was almost ready for our date. I had put on a cute little light rose color dress and applied some light makeup to my face.
I wasn't worried about anything that I had learned about earlier. All I was worried about right now was looking good for the date.
I looked down at my phone and saw that it was about 8.
I began to leave the apartment when May stopped me.
"Aw look at you!" May squeeled as she took out her camera and snapped a picture of me. I felt bling because of the flash.
"Thanks May," I said rubbing my eyes, trying not to mess up my makeup.
"Peter worked hard on this date, I hope you love it," She says before giving me a hug.
"I'm sure I will May," I say as I hug her back.
She lets go and smiles as I turn and exit the apartment.
I make my way to the stairwell and climb the stairs till I get to the roof, which is off limits, but we go up there anyway.
I open the door and gasp with delight.
Peter had laid out a blanket and made a picnic. The roof was lit up by candle light. It was beautiful. Peter sat on the blanket facing towards me with that big goofy smile I love. Then I feel myself smile a replica of that big goofy smile.
I close the door behind me.
"Hey," Peter says.
"Hey," I say before sitting down next to him. "Peter, this is amazing, it's beautiful."
It was beautiful. The night sky was lit up by stars and the moon was huge and bright. It was like something out of a fairytale.
"Not as beautiful as you," He says smoothly.
"Smooth," I laugh before leaning in to kiss him. We kiss for a few moments before pulling apart. Peter reached behind him and pulled out two coffees from the coffee shop.
"I had to get these," Peter says and hands me one.
"It wouldn't be a date without coffee from our coffee shop," I say.
---
We spent the night talking, eating, watching the stars, and making out. We had just finished another make-out session when I looked down at my arms.
I hadn't paid attention to them since Helgen was first and issue.
One arm was pretty much healed from when I pulled out the tracker and the other was completely scared up with the haunting words of, Daughter of a traitor.
I guess Peter noticed me looking at the scars because he gabbed both my hands, causing me to look away.
"Are you nervous?" He asks.
"No," I say. "Why?"
"Helgen is back, are you nervous?" He asks. "You haven't looked at those scars since Helgen was put in prison."
"Yeah, I guess I am, but not as much as I used too," I say. He frowns.
"I'm sorry all of this has happened to you, everything from the beginning. You just being with me makes it worse for you," Peter says while lowering his head. I grab his chin gently and pull it back up so he could see me.
"No, don't be sorry. If non of this ever happened, I wouldn't have met you, I have no idea what I would be doing right now if I wasn't here sitting next to you," I say.
He smiles before tackling me into a hug and kiss.
We made out for a few seconds before I feel my phone buzz.
Peter lets go of me and stops kissing me, he has a strange expression on his face.
"Something's not right," He mumbles. I look at him, confused.
"What?" He doesn't respond, he just stares at the blanket. "Peter, baby, what's wrong?"
He looks back at me.
"Something's not right," He repeats. I look over at my phone. I got a text. I picked up my phone and looked at it.
"Let the game begin," It said. Mangler. I turned my phone for Peter to see as I had a horrible thought in my mind.
Who had a special connection with both me and Peter.
"May."
We both jump up from the blanket and sprint down the stairs and to the apartment.
I stopped in horror seeing the door of the apartment had decayed.
"No," Peter says quietly.
We both walk into the apartment, swiftly.
"May?" I call out.
"May?" Peter calls out. I look around the destroyed and decayed furniture. I walk to the table and see a note.
The note had an address and something saying, "The final showdown will start soon."
"Peter," I say feeling tears of anger fall from my eyes.
"Where is she, did May leave before you came up for the date?" Peter says frantically as I see tears well up in his eyes.
"They took her."
