"There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment."
― Sarah Dessen

"Beca? Beca, are you-do you-?"

"-Chloe." Beca interrupted as she pulled away from the redhead, and she reached a hand up to wipe the tears away from her own eyes, but it was no use. The tears just kept coming, choked sobs erupting from the back of her throat. Both girls had mascara stains down their cheeks, their eyes red and swollen from crying, their lips trembling as they stared into each other's eyes.

"Please, tell me you remember me." Chloe sobbed-no.. begged, as she gripped Beca's forearms. "Please, Beca."

"I.. I remember Ellen. I remember being on Ellen. I r-remember singing to you, and-and she brought you o-on stage."

"Oh my God." Chloe cried out as she pulled Beca into her once again, their bodies crashing together. It hurt Beca's chest when the redhead pulled her in, but she didn't say anything. She didn't know what to say, or do. She was so overwhelmed. Not only a half hour ago, she was ready to pack her bags and go home with Jesse and Aubrey. But now? Now, she actually remembers Chloe. Well, she only remembers one thing about her, but that doesn't matter. The only thing that matters right now is that she remembers a tiny little part of their relationship, and that's enough to let Chloe know that they're gonna be okay. Chloe's certain they're gonna be okay anyway. For now. But that feeling is short-lived when she feels Beca pull away, and she takes a step back.

"Bec-"

"-How-I don't.. how?"

"How what?"

"How did I remember? I mean.. it was-it was so random. It just came into my head and I-it couldn't have been a dream because it was just so clear."

"It's not a dream sweetie." Chloe whispered as she reached a hand up to cup Beca's cheek. She smiled gently down at her as she stroked her thumb across her jawbone, and Beca looked up at her with watery, worried eyes.

"Chloe, I'm s-scared."

"Please, don't be scared." she reassured her with a sad smile, hesitating before she leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Beca's forehead. The brunette seemed to lean closer, and Chloe took another step forward, smiling when the brunette closed the distance between them, wrapping her arms around her mid-section and resting her head on her shoulder. The brunette's grip tightened on her for a split second before she pulled back and looked up at Chloe. She stared straight into her eyes, trying her best to keep her composure.

"I'm scared I might forget you again."

"I'm not gonna let that happen." Chloe answered straight away, shaking her head as a tear fell down her face. "Just trust me on this. Come home with me, Bec. We'll go home, and I'm not saying everything will go back to how it used to be, because I'm not certain that it will. I'm not gonna make any promises that I can't keep, but.. but we can still try though, right? Just come home and we'll-"

"-Okay." Beca interrupted, eyes closed tight. She opened them, and she smiled a small smile as her hold on the redhead tightened for a split second before she pulled back. She looked up to see Chloe with her mouth open, tears in her eyes, lip trembling.

"Okay?" Chloe asked, as if it was that simple. And Beca blinked a few times, then she nodded.

"Okay."

The redhead fished her ringing phone out of her pocket and sighed when she saw that it read 'Beca' across the screen. With a shaky breath, she pressed accept and spoke into the phone. "Hey"
