                              Natasha (POV)
Once Steve had left the room I fought the urge to run after him. Instead I grabbed my bag and headed backwards to the tower, forcing my feet to move.

The second I go there I went straight to the gym where Clint was already working out.
"You alright Nat? Look about flustered." He greets me with a concerned look.

I hop on the tread mill next to him and start running at the highest speed and altitude. " Just fine." I reply casually.
"Sure." And with that a comfortable silence falls over us.
Clint is a brother to me. He knows me well. He especially knows when I am not in the mood to talk. And thank god for that because even I can't process what just happened.

After we both have done hours of workouts Clint invited me to grab a beer with him. I accept and and hour later we walk into a run down but cozy bar. My phone starts ringing.

" I'll go get us seats at the bar." Clint whispers as I accept the call.
"Hello." I am greeted by Nicks voice
. He tells me he has a mission and that I need to come in tomorrow afternoon.

Once I hang up I start heading over to Clint. Right as I get to the bar I am approached by a sleezy looking man.
"Hey baby why don't you let me buy out a drink?" The man says as he starts to put an arm around my waist.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Clint pretty much jump off of his stool, ready to punch the cat caller. But there's no need for that because the second the man's arm comes near me I grab it. I twist his arm to the near point of breaking. With my free hand I shove his head against the counter.

"I have a better idea. And trust me it won't be any fun for you." I hiss at the man. He is too shocked to say anything other than sorry.
Clint walks over and I release the man. Clint shoves him away as the man repeatedly says sorry. The bartender who was laughing at the leaving man straightened up. "So what'll it be miss?"

I throw myself down on my bed tired and sore from my long day. Despite the minor incident the rest of the night went great with Clint. We talked about the usual: how his wife and kids were doing, upcoming missions, and so on. Time with Clint is always a great distraction. But now I know I have to face my problems.

I don't know what this is with Steve. I know he wouldn't have kissed me if he didn't care about me so much. With Rogers there is no such thing as just kissing or just feelings. These things mean something to him. That kiss meant something to him. And I think it meant something to me too. But this wasn't right I reminded myself. I don't like this feeling. Feeling vulnerable.

I'm a killer. I don't want  pity, it's just the facts. If Steve knew all the things I've done he would run for the hills. Which is why I can't do this. It's one thing to lie to others but to lie to Steve, just the thought of it hurt. I'll end this I thought. I have to. I should know, feelings get in the way.

****** Dear reader sorry if this chapter is boring, I needed something to fill the space until I get to the next chapter. And I also wanted to include some of the other characters more. Please let me know if you want more of the other characters like some stuff like this or just romanogers. And also would you like me to  get to the good romanogers stuff now or continue on like this. I have some great ideas for some things to happen between Natasha and Steve after their mission. Let me know asap please. Thank you !❤️❤️❤️
