Right or Wrong? {complete}

What now?

                             (For anyone reading this, the first parts are from authors POV but the rest is from the character for the rest. And please read on. It gets better, I think. I'm in the process of re-editing since I made this book a few years ago)

Natasha (POV)

After everything that has happened with the winter soldier and Ultron, Natasha had to face the facts. She just couldn't help that feeling she gets when the soldier is around. That burning sensation. Usually it was just a warm atmosphere when he was around. He has that affect on people. But now there was a new flaming fire coursing her veins.

It isn't supposed to be this way. Especially not with a work colleague, or with anyone. She was the black widow after all. Heartless Assassin, right?

She wasn't supposed to continuously feel the need to flirt with Steve. She wasn't supposed to stray away from her path. He wasn't supposed to look at her like that. God that look. That look means more to her then anyone ever has. A look of compassion, lust, trust, and maybe even love ?/.

Natasha knew she had to stop. Or did she ? It was just flirting. No, Natasha knew it was much more. But she was on a mission or so she was until the hulk flew a jet to who knows where. Yes, it's true the Hulk, Bruce, it was all orders sent by the man himself. Nick Fury.
S.H.E.I.L.D thought the hulk could be another one of their machines. Sent out for protection. That's is if they could find a way to control him. Or more so to calm him down. And The black widow was the perfect woman for the job.

Natasha wondered if now that he was gone if she needed to continue to have "feelings." She felt terrible about it. About lying to Bruce. What will he do when he finds out the truth ? If he finds out. Who knows? Maybe this is a life long thing. Regardless, Fury hasn't mentioned anything about it. Even the thought of continuing to lie to Bruce about loving him, killed Natasha. And for that she secretly wished he would never come back. And that made her hate herself even more. He was a good man he didn't deserve this. But then again love is for children she reminded herself.

Then she questioned why she let herself come so close to Steve. It was if Steve could immediately break down her defense system without even trying. She always did enjoy talking to Steve. But she only ever realized she liked him as more than a friend after that kiss. She couldn't get it out of her head. True it wasn't a proper kiss. It was just for a mission. And Steve hadn't had the time to react, but Natasha loved it regardless. And she knew despite what he says she was his first kiss since 1940.
