"I can't believe they gave you a balcony and not me." Adira scoffed playfully as she looked out at the open expanse of land.
She found Cadmar in his room unpacking about ten minutes ago and decided to stay for a while. She didn't feel like facing Lucinda again, that woman was strange.
"I'm surprised as well, you can have my room if you want or you could sleep here and I can take your room." He replies standing next to her with crossed arms over his chest.
"Don't be ridiculous Cadmar I could never kick you out of your room. I just wish I wouldn't have to be in this situation, I just wanna be free for a little longer." She shrugged with her eyes focused solely on the green pastures in front of her.
He understood what she meant, no one deserved to have their youth to be crushed by a single ceremony. If he were to interfere however, Donovan would gladly have his head on a platter. It took every drop of restraint in his body to not fight for Adira.
"It's okay I'll allow you to come by every morning so you can watch the sun rising and observe the lands, we can have breakfast here sometimes." Cadmar says focusing his gaze onto something off in the distance.
Adira smiles, a real smile and not the fake ones she's been able to perfect all those years. This real smile makes a dimple pop out on her left cheek.
"I would love that Cadmar." Her smile never falters as she leaves his room to go back to her own where she takes a long nap.
