Arranged Marriage - Shawn Mendes

"Dad, um" Shawn stutters as he holds my hand, "can we speak to you" I give his hand a gentle squeeze, looking up to him, sending him a reassuring smile, "sure kiddo, what's up" he questions, sitting down in front of us, "well, I don't know how to put this, and well I know it's kind of soon but-" I stumble over my words until Shawn cuts me off, "we're getting married" Manny smiles wide as he embraces us both into a hug, "I'm so happy" he smiles as a small tear falls down his cheek,

"I'm that happy that you both made me cry"

It was inevitable that we had to tell social media as the majority of everyone on the whole earth had seen the diamond ring on my finger- I tried to hide it of course, but with hundreds of screaming girls and boys surrounding you it's hard to keep it a secret. Hundreds of articles had already been written, tweets had been posted, and pictures had been taken. Our publicity was high. Higher than it had ever been.

Shawn smiled to me as I sent him a cheeky grin back, "I'm so glad you said yes, I honestly don't know what I would have done if you said no" he nervously chuckled as I giggled, "I could never say no to you" he narrowed his eyes at me, "you said no to me this morning" he pointed out as I gasped, "no I did not!" I argue back as he crossed his arms, "you did! I asked for some of your cake and you said no" he mumbled the last bit as I laughed at him,

"I'll only say no to you when you ask for my food"

I smile as a bird flies on my head, it was brightly coloured, reds and yellows spread up its back and wings, blue was on it's tail, it's beak is white and it's eyes were a dark chocolate colour, apparently it's called skittles and is a macaw. Shawn had taken me to the zoo and we were sat in the bird show, the woman had picked me out the audience to do some tricks with the different types of parrots.

The parrot had perched itself in front of me, grabbing a baby toy and rattling it in its beak, then continuing onto a little wooden train, pulling it along and hopping onto it, earning a round of applause from the audience. The women passing me a little peanut, skittles running over, and bouncing onto my arm. Squealing as I hear Shawn chuckle from the audience, making me smile as he puts his thumbs up at me.

Shawn kisses my cheek as I sit down, "you were great" he chuckles as I thank him, "can we see the giraffes, I love them" he says as I nod, grabbing his head, "the funny thing is, they have a longer neck than you, which is very hard to achieve" I laugh as Shawn gives me the 'hold up' look, glaring at me in the process. "My neck is very delightful, thank you" he rolls his eyes as I shake my head, "mines better" I wiggle my eyebrows at him as a smirk rises on his face,

"It's better with that hickey"

Andrew attempts to apologize to me as I turn my body, facing away from him. "I'm sorry Rein, I didn't k-know" he stutters as my face softens, still not facing him turning my head looking at him over my shoulder, "don't make assumptions next time" I roll my eyes as a scowl appears back onto my face, turning my head back around.

"Rein, please don't be like this, I'm sorry ok. I know it probably means nothing to you, but I am really sorry you don't even understand how bad I feel" I turn my body to face him, "it's ok Andrew, I'm fine" he smiled as his eyes flicked from my eyes to my lips, making me scowl, he moves his head closer to me as I stumble back, "Andrew, what are you doing?" I question as he flares red, "I'm uh- sorry- bye" he mumbles his words, running out the room, pushing past a bewildered Shawn in the door way, "what actually just happened" I sat down on the floor, putting my hands on my temples as Shawn speaks,

"didn't he just try and kiss you?"

I mindlessly tap my pencil on my lips as I smack my head off the table, I'm currently trying to write a new song but nothing is coming to my head. I had nothing. No lyrics. Nothing on my piece of paper which was supposed to be full. Shawn sits next to me, wrapping his arms around me, "you know, one time this boy I know hitchhiked off this old woman and he said a naughty word and she pushed him out her car" he laughed as he put his head into my hair, "wait!" I screeched making Shawn gasp and fall on the floor, "ow what was that fo-" I cut him off as he rubs him bum, "that's it!" I jump up out of my chair, "thank you, thank you, thank you!" I lay on top of Shawn, kissing his face numerous times, then standing up and scribbling down some lyrics.

"Ugh! I love you thank you" I kissed Shawn's cheeks as he looked at me funny, "I haven't done anything, but carry on" a smirk rises on his face as I shake my head, rolling my eyes, "yes you have, my new song is called 'hitchhiker' and you helped by saying that story, so thank you" I wrap my arms loosely around his neck as he leans down, pecking my lips, then moving his arms from the side of his face to my waist, "I love you so much" he kisses my nose as I twist his hair around my fingers, "I love you more" I kiss him as he moves his hand down to my bum, squeezing it making me gasp,

"Shawn Mendes! I never knew you could be so scandalous!"
