I woke up with Aaliyah snuggled into my chest, I peered down to see her eyes closed and her gentle breaths cascading out of her button nose. I sighed as I gently reached for my phone, attempting not to stir the girl who's on top of me. I eventually reached it and pulled it close to me. I unlocked my phone anticipating a text from Shawn, but to much prevail- nothing. The only texts I had received were from Karen and Andrew- Karen asking if Aaliyah and I want pancakes from three minutes ago and Andrew asking if I had arrived safely and also questioning if I would like to work with his team in Toronto to 'utilise my time' as he had put it. I swiftly responded to both as Aaliyah began to wiggle around on me- her eyes lightly fluttered open as I smiled down to her "good morning sleepy head" she groaned as she rubbed her eyes and reached over to her phone and in the process, she had rolled off me.

We sat at the table and Aaliyah looked over to me, quickly taking a boomerang of me holding a bit of pancake with my fork. She laughed as my phone beeped so I reached for it and saw that she had tagged me in her Instagram story. After we had finished our food, Aaliyah and I had gone our separate ways and had gotten ready for a packed day of shopping in Toronto. I pulled my cream coat over my shoulders as I rubbed my blue jeans and white t-shirt down. I stepped out of the guest room at the same time Aaliyah came out of her room. We smiled at each other as Karen tossed me the keys to her car and we strutted out the front door.

We were sat in a small coffee shop after going into multiple shops and enjoying ourselves, trying on various items of clothing, hats and glasses. "So, what's going to happen to the wedding?" Aaliyah questioned as I averted my eyes to the cup of coffee in my hands.  "I don't know, to be honest" I sighed as she reached over the table and lightly grabbed my hand, "I mean, he still hasn't texted me, he could be doing anything for all I know" I glanced up to her and saw a pitiful look swiped across her face, "Its ok, Rein" she sighed along with me, "I think it'll be fine- he just needs to sort his priorities out" she lightly laughed to herself as I nodded, "What if he's with" I gulped as a disgusted look wiped my face "Amelia" we both say distastefully and both gag playfully to each other at the thought.

It had been one full day since I had texted Shawn- and there was still no sign of movement on his end. It was 4 pm and Karen had decided to help me look for an apartment. She had taken me to multiple- but one caught my eye. It wasn't on a busy road- it was quiet in a nice suburb of Toronto and the apartment itself was very quaint and sophisticated. Karen had already rung up her workplace and discussed the offer with her colleague (who happened to be the owner) and they had agreed to let me purchase it. I gleamed at the thought of having my own place- it was thrilling. I texted Andrew the good news and then Shawn (even if I did not expect an answer- he still should know).

We had all travelled back to the Mendes household; I had decided to put my culinary skills to the test and had made dinner for the family. "What's cooking?" Manny asked as he walked into the kitchen slightly smelling the air, "my speciality- macaroni cheese" I lightly laughed as he patted my back- "I hope it tastes as delicious as it smells" he walked out as I removed the pan from the oven revelling a perfectly baked macaroni cheese. Aaliyah had set the table and I had served the food on plates for everyone with a little bit of garnish on the top. We were all sitting around the table and began to dig in. "you're making this every week" Aaliyah mumbled with her cheeks stuffed with pasta. A round of compliments came from the family as we all tucked in.

"Listen- it's not that bad" Andrew sighed audibly from the other side of the phone call. "It is Andrew- he hasn't texted me and he's been on the news and people are questioning it and-" Andrew cuts me off as he groans, "shut up, Rein, I'll talk to him now- I'll keep you on the phone but mute your sound, alright" I nodded but realised he couldn't see me "I- er- yes" I conferred as I heard a door close from the other end and Andrew's breathing. He knocked on the door as I heard a 'what' from the other end. Andrew eventually opened the door and a girls giggle was heard. My eyes began to well up thinking about how he was with her and he hadn't even texted me back. "Have you texted Rein, Shawn?" Andrew questioned as Shawn's voice rumbled in the background, "why?" he questioned as the girl's voice went silent, "because she is your fiancee, Shawn" Andrew stressed fiancee as both Shawn and the girl had stayed quiet. "Shawn?" Andrew questioned as both continued to make no signs of movement. "Amelia, you can leave" he mumbled suddenly as I scrunched my eyes up, wiping away my tears. She became frustrated with Shawn as she began to whine and beg to stay with him. "please, babe" she begged as another tear ran down my face. Babe? "just leave" he grunted as the door closed and Amelia presumable left. "I don't want to see that girl again. Apologise to Rein. Now." Andrew's voice became stern as Shawn sighed, "I don't even know where she is" His voice rang as I rolled my eyes- he knows fine well where I am. "I'm waiting" Andrew's voice rang out as Shawn sighed again,

 "I've messed it up, haven't I, Andrew"
