Love triangles and Malec - Part 9

•Day two
Jace was waiting at the bus stop as he usually did on a school morning, when he noticed Alec out of the fog. He usually got a lift with Magnus but obviously that wasn't happening anytime soon. His eyes never left Alec as he walked to the stop, putting enough distance between them that a conversation couldn't start. Jace clearly didn't get the message and strolled over to Alec "Since when did you take the bus?" Jace mocked which probably didn't help the situation. Alec shot him a glare so powerful satan himself would quiver in fear. Jace slowly backed away taking the very obvious push.
Alec's reaction quickly changed Jace's mood and made him realise that maybe things were changing. Walking into school Jace found Simon shouting at Clary, it put him over the edge. He stormed up to Simon and pinned him against the lockers. "Let go you jerk!" Simon squirmed. Jace let got taking a step back and a deep breath to stop him from doing something he'd regret. "You are always there, aren't you Jace? Always lurking, waiting for you chance to steal the light, whether its in football or frickin' stealing my girlfriend!" Simon said becoming louder and more aggressive after every breath, "Well... i do shine in the stoplight" Jace smirked,
"I swear..." Simon began but was interrupted "What in my right mind made me love you two" clary blurred out trying to be rational. Jace froze taken back by Clary. Simon just stormed off.
"Simon wait!" She shouted but made no effort to run after him. She looked back to Jace with the same anguished look Alec had yesterday. "You love me?" Jace chocked out too shocked to process.
"Why else would i ruin my 16 year friendship with simon" she sighed as Jace pulled her in a mire centimetres away from each other. Clary wanted to say no, to give it time but then she found herself being the one activating the kiss, wanting Jace's hands all over her body. Clary pulled away, a look of horror written across her face and ran away.
Like the day before, the rest of the day was spent by everyone hiding from each other avoiding their inevitable reality.
