Love triangles and Malec- part 4

"Hello Jace," Izzy noticed Jace lingering in the hallway.
"Um hi, Alec's talking to Magnus so i thought..."
"So you thought you'd come bug us?" Clary spat harshly but soon giggled, grinning ear to ear,"I'm  just kidding," she patted the bed next to her, indicating him to sit down. "We were just having a debate about who's hotter Matthew Daddario or Harry Shum Jr"Izzy explained. Jace mouth dropped and pouted "what about me,"
"Keep dreaming Jace" Clary joked, placing a hand on his lap. What was meant to be a harmless action had the two hearts fluttering. In that moment all they wanted to do was meet lips but Clary couldn't do that to Simon. "Well this is awkward," Izzy observed
"I'm just gunna leave," Izzy got up and flaunted out.
Clary and Jace sat in a uncomfortable silence for a minute or two, both unsure on what to say or what the other would.
"Look Jace,"
"Clary,I..." They both said at the same time . Just our luck, Clary thought, nothing like making an awkward situations 10 times worse.
"You go," Clary said softly
Jace nodded and continued "I know you're with Simon but Clary I want to be with you and I want to wake up beside you and walk down the school hall with you, knowing you're mine because... Clary Fray... I'm falling in love with you," Jace's face was like an open book; he was so exposed, so vulnerable after laying his heart on his sleeve. A tear trickled down Clarys face , she was so moved so happy, yet so scared of what it meant for her and Simon. She opened her mouth to speak yet no words escaped. Jace took it as a sign and began to leave. He looked so sad, his eyes calling out to Clary as if pleading her to speak but she couldn't. She just watched as he left and burst into tear as she heard the front door close.
"What the fuck did you do to my best friend?" Alec said marching up the stairs to Izzys room, only to get a shock when he opened the door to see a Clary in pieces "oh shit" he froze. Izzy barged passed him pulled clary in for a hug, cradling her like a baby. Alec pulled his phone to his ear,taking Magnus off hold, "I think you better come over" He said worried.
