Love triangles and Malec -part 3

After school Jace and Alec had football training so Magnus and the others didn't wait for them. When it finished the boys were covered in mud and sweat, in need of a good shower. "Mine for tea?" Alec asked.
"Hell yeah" Jace said eagerly but soon frowned "wait is Magnus gunna be there ?"
"No," Alec laughed knowing Jace felt a little sidelined.
Once they were home Jace headed straight to the xbox to find the wii plugged in . Jace turned to Alec in horror . "What?! Magnus likes mario cart"
Jace rolled his eyes and began sorting the game out. Hours later and they were neck and neck in a cod battle, when Izzy and Clary came in after some well needed retail therapy. Jace lost his focus making it easy for Alec to secure his place as champion. "Damn it" Jace shouted throwing the controler on the floor in a fit of rage while Alec threw his hands in the air in triumph. "Fuck you, Jace. I'm the best" Alec mocked . Leaving the girls confused but laughing in the doorway.
Izzy and Clary made there way upstairs leaving them wrestling on the floor. "So immature" Clary laughed shaking her head.
Izzy placed her multiple shopping bags on the bed and flopped beside them; Clary still stood awkwardly in the doorway
"What's wrong?" Izzy frowned, pushing past her own pain.
"Honestly," Clary paused. "I don't love him" It was a vague reply but Izzy knew what she was talking about. "I'm mean i do but not in the way he wants me to not like you do" Izzy froze.
"How'd you know?"
"You're like my sister I've always known i was just waiting for you to tell me. I'm afraid if i break up with him the group will start falling apart , i mean Magnus and Alec are already drifting away."
"But they will always be there for us plus you don't even like Alec that much"Izzy pointed out.
"Yeah but Magnus!" Clary sighed.
"It may take awhile but Simon will come around. If it breaks the group, we can put it back together again"
"But the cracks of where it broke will always show" The girls sat in silence both wondering and questioning everything.
Back downstairs, Jace was blabbering on to Alec about the moment Clary and he shared in English "It was intense, Alec like wow. I know she felt it too..."
"One sec Jace" Alec interrupted as he answered his phone putting it on speaker to annoy Jace . He huffed and sat back in the chair.
"Hey Mags," Alec smiled
"Urghhhhhh, he's busy" Jace yelled, in realisation of who it was.
"Shut up"Alec smacked Jace's face with his palm.
"Hi blonde," Magnus chuckled. Jace mumbled something into Alecs palm. "I was just ringing because i have just found the cutest thing ever...." Magnus began. Alec got up leaving the room signalling 5mins to Jace on his hands.
Half an hour later and Magnus and Alec were still talking .Jace could hear Alec laughing, something about fatty tuna and realised he wasn't ending the call anytime soon so decided to see what Izzy and Clary were up to.
