James' P.O.V
'Oh my Merlin! Stop the Daily Pr-ophet! Hunny you look a-mazing!' The dress robes fitter shouts, again, 'That's you done dear.' She taps my arm and I step off the footstool as Sirius steps up and gets fitted for his dress robes. She walks away briefly and Sirius yanks my arm.
'If she hyphenates her words one more time I'll—' Sirius hisses in my ear but stops and continues smiling as she walks back over.
'Oh! I've forgot the tape measure!' She laughs and everyone chuffs sarcastically, which she doesn't pick up on. One flick of her wand and the tape measure was zooming in all directions of the black robes burying Sirius.
Remus, Peter and I make poor effort to stifle our laughter at Sirius' dismay and struggle.
'Shut up! I'll hex you all into oblivion!' He says.
'You couldn't hex me if I hit you over the head with Lily's unread pile of books!' I say and Remus nods in agreement.
'Just watch at the Yule Ball then, I'll out-dance you all.' He retorts.
'Been practicing with Snape have you?' Remus says and Peter falls to the ground laughing.
'Imagine that!' I say and grab Remus' are as we begin to walk in circles imitating Sirius and Snape dancing.
'Don't! Step... on. My t-oes Black!' I say in my best impression of Snapes voice.
At this point Peter is laughing even more hysterically than before and can't catch his breath.
'C'mon Wormtail.' I say putting his one arm over my shoulder to help him to his feet.
'That's you done dear!' The lady says.
'Thank Merlin!' Sirius jumps down from the footstool and with all our robes fitted and wrapped up we walk out onto the streets of Hogsmeade.
'Can we go to Honeydukes!?' Peter bursts out.
We all exchange looks and I grudgingly hand Sirius five galleons. Remus looks disapprovingly at us and Peter looks confused.
'Er, we made a bet how long it would take you to ask. I said ten minutes.' I explain.
'I said as soon as we walk out.' Sirius laughs.
'Oh, well shouldn't you know better by now James? Over the years my sugar craving has only got demanding.' Peter says
'Wow, that was a nine letter word Wormtail!' Sirius says.
'I know!' Peter says proudly.
Shaking his head Remus says 'Can we just go to Honeydukes already it's chilly out here?'.
'Yeah, plus I want some Fizzing Whizbees.' I say.
The streets of Hogsmeade smell like hops and malt, as they always do during the Christmas season and winter. It's a very comforting smell, it's like the smell that takes me back to the years at Hogwarts when everything was safe and carefree. The days when I would shout 'Oi! Evans go out with me?' When Lily would walk past and when me and Sirius would spends nights in the common room creating ideas for pranks while Remus always said he 'Wasn't getting involved this time' but always did. When we dared each other to jump into the black lake before lessons and walk into lessons wringing wet. When things were simple. But if it meant losing what I had now, I'd never want to go back.
Lily's P.O.V
'Lillian!' Marlene says as we walk out of the book shop.
'That's not my name.' I say blankly.
