Date Night

The sun had just set on the beach shack. Obsidian, White Moonstone, and Aquamarine were in the living room. Obsidian sat languidly on the couch with no indication of moving. The other two gems sat on the floor while Obsidian was watching T.V. White Moonstone sat curiously to why Sunstone hadn't left his room to join the three of them. He shot up and grabbed Aquamarine by the arm.

"Me and Aquamarine are gonna head out and pick up some stuff" White Moonstone told Obsidian.

"Mhm," Obsidian mumbled as he was too focused on the T.V to pay them much mind.

White Moonstone dragged Aquamarine out of their home and out into the chilly night. White Moonstone held his hand and walked with him far enough from the shack where Obsidian couldn't hear them.

"Moonie what are you doing we don't need anything" Aquamarine questioned.

"It's not about what we need, it's about what Sunstone and Obsidian need," White Moonstone said.

"I'm not following"

"They need a date night, Aquamarine"

"Sunstone I don't think is really Obsidian's type," Aquamarine said hesitantly.

"We're all each other's types that's why we live together," White Moonstone said frustrated.

"Yeah but I don't really think that about those two"

"You're just jealous that those two are gonna get all cuddly without you"

"I am not!" Aquamarine said blushing.

"Is poor ole Moonie not good enough for you anymore?" White Moonstone said holding the back of his hand to his face.

"Shut it, let's just keep walking," Aquamarine said while dragging White Moonstone by the hand.

Obsidian sat up on the couch and let himself sink back into it. It was an old couch and this was his spot. A noticeable imprint was molded into it. The other spots weren't as sunk in. He let his arm lay on the back of the couch as he gently leaned his head back. Sunstone opened his door and walked out of his room into the tiny hall. He could see Obsidian relaxing but none of the other guys were home.

"Where'd they go?" Sunstone asked.

"Said they were gonna go out to get stuff" Obsidian responded. Sunstone walked to the couch and sat as far from Obsidian as he could.

"Oh"

"They shouldn't be out for long" Obsidian said. Sunstone just nodded and turned to watch the T.V.

Since the shack was never in the best condition it would either get extremely cold or extremely hot. Though tonight was one of those nights where the boys couldn't shake the chill off.

"Fuck it's cold in here" Sunstone grumbled. Obsidian looked over and patted his chest. Sunstone looked confused and raised his eyebrow. Obsidian simply patted his chest again.

"I don't know what you want me to do," Sunstone said annoyed.

"Jesus Christ you are thick, I'm trying to tell you to lay on me," Obsidian said. Sunstone immediately blushed. "You said you're cold right," Obsidian asked. Sunstone nodded sheepishly. "Then come over here and I'll hold you"

Sunstone at first didn't move so Obsidian turned his attention back to the T.V, but soon he felt Sunstone lean into his body. Obsidian looked down to see Sunstone looking the other way and from what he could assume blushing like mad.

"You know I think with how hot your face is you'll be able to stay warm" Obsidian said jokingly.

"Shut up," Sunstone said quietly as he turned to face Obsidian's chest and lay his head on him. Obsidian wrapped his arm around him and kept him close. Obsidian nuzzled his face into Sunstone's hair.

"I think if I gave you a kiss you'd warm up some more" Obsidian said softly. Sunstone looked up to see him inches away from his face. Another wave of deep orange fluttered across his cheeks and he looked away quickly and buried himself into Obsidian's chest.

"Alright I'll quit teasing you," Obsidian said gently and went back to looking at whatever channel was on.

The two sat silently cuddling with each other. Sunstone looked up at Obsidian who wasn't paying any attention to him now except for the occasional rub of his arm. Sunstone sat building up his courage and gently leaned up and gave Obsidian a quick peck on the cheek. Obsidian smiled gently and turned to look down at Sunstone. He leaned down and very softly left a kiss on Sunstone's lips. Sunstone's eyes went wide as Obsidian pulled away.

"What is it Sunny didn't like my kiss" Obsidian said with a smug grin on his face.

"No I just wasn't expecting it......also don't call me Sunny" Sunstone said.

"Do you prefer Sunshine then?" Obsidian said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"I hate you, you know that," Sunstone said blushing like mad and cuddling back into Obsidian's breast.

Outside of the shack White Moonstone and Aquamarine had walked back home. White Moonstone rushed to the window to try and catch a glimpse of Sunstone and Obsidian. He looked in to see the couple cuddling on the couch and enjoying being with each other.

"I told you Aquamarine that those two needed a date night," White Moonstone said.

"Let's give them some more time to themselves," Aquamarine said and gently took White Moonstone's hand and pulled him away from the window.
