Fusion

Moonie sat on the couch, bouncing his leg as he zoned out. Obsidian sat next to him with his head thrown back. Sunstone and Aquamarine sat at the dining table discussing how their monthly check had gone. Obsidian would look over at the two to interject some comment and then phase out of the conversation. Moonie started thinking about his plans for tomorrow, spending the day with Ritchie over at the movies and maybe catching up with the rest of the guys for dinner at a diner. Nothing too unusual for him. He let himself start hearing the conversation between Aquamarine and Sunstone.

"Y'know we should build a room for all the gems we bubble," Aquamarine said.

"Sure we could, but which one of us wants to have a job long enough to be able to buy all the supplies we need" Sunstone pointed out.

"I can do that" Obsidian said calmly, "Isn't an issue for me"

"Well then we've got no reason not to build it," Aquamarine said.

"We can have it at the end of the hallway" Sunstone said. The three of them nodded. Moonie just sat silently thinking to himself. Obsidian nudged him a bit.

"What do you think Moonie" Obsidian asked. Moonstone just nodded.

"What's gotten into you Moonie" Aquamarine asked.

"Just a long day today that's all," He said calmly. "I feel like I might just pass out here" Sunstone looked at the clock on the wall.

"It is getting late, we should all probably get some sleep," He said.

Everyone got up and went into their rooms. Today had gone smoothly with poofing some corrupted gem over on some beach somewhere else. It was just a normal day for all of them, something all of them had been wanting. Before Moonie went into his room, Obsidian walked by and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek.

"Love you Moonie," He said.

"Love you too Obby" Moonie smiled sleepily back.

Aquamarine was going into his room but turned around to make a heart with his hands for Moonie. Moonie laughed softly as he went into his room.

The next morning Sunstone was up making breakfast for everyone while Obsidian and Aquamarine were reading and drinking coffee at the table. Moonie came out of his room with his hair messy. He slouched into the seat next to Aquamarine and tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes.

"You slept for a long time Moonie" Aquamarine said.

"I wanted to make sure I'm not tired today when I go hang out with Ritchie," he said.

"Foods ready," Sunstone said as he placed some bacon and eggs down on the table.

The boys went straight to eating. Mornings were always nice together. They all spent the morning laughing with each other and talking about whatever came to mind. As their breakfast came to an end Sunstone placed the plates into the sink and the four of them went out to have fun on the beach. Aquamarine was always partial to wading out in the water while Moonie went off to collect seashells. Sunstone laid out a beach towel and laid down on the beach. Obsidian went to sneak up behind Aquamarine and splash him.

Ritchie was walking onto the beach to see everyone out and enjoying themselves. He spotted Moonie near the shore picking up a sand dollar. He walked over to him and waved. Moonie smiled and set down the shells he had found to wave back.

"What are you guys doing out," He asked.

"Spending some time on the beach," Moonie said.

"Are we still going to the movies today or..."

"Yeah we are let me just put these shells away and we can head out," He said walking back towards the shack. Ritchie walking beside him.

"Hey I know this is an odd question but...how does fusion work," he asked.

"You've seen me and Obsidian fused before," Moonie said confused.

"Yeah, but how do you guys fuse," he asked.

"Oh! Well, we dance" Moonie said simply.

"Dance?" Ritchie questioned.

"Yeah you wanna see," Moonie asked excitedly.

"I guess?" Ritchie said.

Moonie smiled and ran into his room quickly setting his shells down carefully and running back outside.

"Aquamarine come over here!" he yelled. Ringo stood watching Moonie.

"What do you want Moonie!" He yelled back.

"Ringo wants to see us fuse," Moonie said. Aquamarine smiled and rushed out of the water.

Once Aquamarine dried himself off a bit and looked over a Moonie with a big smile. Both of their gems lit up and Ritchie sat on the sand to watch. Moonie started to jump around with excitement as Aquamarine twirled around. He gracefully leapt closer to Moonstone and the two danced progressively were dancing closer to each other. Was Aquamarine was close enough Moonie pulled him into a tight hug and spun him around. He tossed Aquamarine into the air and once Aqua came back down he caught him and in a bright flash of light Blue Moon Quartz stood smiling in front of Ringo. Ringo looked at her in awe as this was only the second time he had ever seen a fusion. Obsidian smiled when he saw Blue Moon Quartz standing there.

"It's very nice to meet you, Ringo," She said sweetly.

"Nice to meet you too," He said shyly.

Obsidian walked up to the two of them and once Blue Moon laid eyes on her Obby she rushed over and picked him up.

"Oh I've missed you Obby," She said happily and began to smother him with kisses.

"I missed you too babe," He said happily.

Ringo sat there awkwardly watching the two of them kiss and hug. Blue Moon gently set Obsidian back down and looked over at Ringo.

"We can still hang out if you want," She said sweetly.

"If that's alright," he asked. Obsidian nodded and Ringo smiled, excited to hang out with Blue Moon Quartz.
