Fake It (Part 2)

 White Moonstone woke up early the next morning. Aquamarine had gotten up before him and was in the small living room of the beach shack. White Moonstone got up and quietly turned the doorknob and walked out to see his friend sitting on the couch. He sat next to Aquamarine and for a while, the two sat silently. Aquamarine looked over at his friend, he knew that White Moonstone needed to talk about what had happened yesterday. It was less about him getting "drunk" and more about why he did. Aquamarine could just feel that he was hiding something about why he faked it. White Moonstone sat with his hands on his lap and his head hanging down.

"Moonie, do you want to talk about what happened" Aquamarine asked.

"You wouldn't understand," He said softly.

"You said that it's different when you're with them" Aquamarine turned to his friend. White Moonstone didn't respond, "You never act that way with us"

"Aqua it's just...It's hard to explain" White Moonstone said still looking at his hands.

"I want to know Moonie, I can tell it's eating you up," He said gently.

"Aqua, I have to impress them. I'm this alien and to them, I can do just about anything," White Moonstone said.

"You don't have to try and impress them they already like you," Aquamarine said putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Yes, I do. If I don't they'll leave me. They'll get tired of me. I'm nothing more than a novelty Aqua" White Moonstone kept his head down and tears began to pool in his eyes. "I'm surprised you haven't sent me back to the kindergarten, there's nothing good about me,"

"Moonstone, we love you" Aquamarine started. "You're family and I know we bicker a lot, but honestly you're why we're all so close. You're the glue that holds us together." He moved his hand down to White Moonstone's, "You don't have to impress us Moonstone"

White Moonstone's tears starting falling and he turned and hugged his best friend closely. He buried himself into his shoulder and starting sobbing. Aquamarine put his head on top of his and moved so White Moonstone so was leaning into his chest. He stroked his back and gently kissed the top of his head. White Moonstone started to sniffle and looked up at Aquamarine.

"Aqua I'm so afraid of being alone," He said looking like he was going to cry again, "Do you really mean that"

"Of course I mean that," Aquamarine said. "You don't have to ever worry about being alone Moonie," He said hugging him tighter.

White Moonstone began to cry out of happiness. He hugged Aquamarine just as tight and Aquamarine began to cry to. The two sat holding each other and were soon enveloped in a warm light. Now Blue Moon Quartz sat on the couch. He gently ran her fingers through her hair. There were still tears that were against her cheeks. She stood up slowly and walked out of the shack. Closing the door behind her she could feel a soft ocean breeze tickle her neck. She sighed contently and went to the shore. Blue Moon Quartz sat down in the wet sand and put her feet out in the water.

She spent the day just being at the shore. Obsidian and Sunstone and peaked out occasionally to see Blue Moon out there. A couple of times they went over and talked with her as they didn't really know why she was around. As the sun began setting though and easily as they fused they unfused. White Moonstone and Aquamarine sat side by side watching the sun set into the horizon.

"Aquamarine," White Moonstone said.

"Yeah Moonstone" he responded.

"I love you. I really really love you" White Moonstone said and he pulled Aquamarine into a hug.

"I love you too. I always will" He said and hugged White Moonstone back.
