I Love You

       Today was another day of watching Aquamarine and Moonstone for Obsidian. He wouldn't admit he was jealous of the two. Moonie and Aqua would always have such romantic fusions. Aqua would always hold Moonie close and tell him how much he loved him, how much he meant to him. Moonie would smile his big, sweet smiles and tell Aqua he loved him just as much. Obsidian though felt left out. He didn't want Tanzanite though what he wanted today was White Moonstone. Reminiscing on the days when Moonie was new, Obsidian thought of all the times Moonie would practically shadow him and ask him so many questions. Obsidian wanted his Moonie back, he wanted to hold Moonie and tell him how much he loved him. He wanted to give Moonie kisses and cuddle with him. Obsidian just sighed though, being jealous of those two wouldn't help him or anyone. He knew if Moonie knew how jealous he was, Moonie would come running right to him and smother him with attention. Obsidian sat inside the beach shack today. Outside of the window, he could see Aqua and Moonie being especially loving today. Aqua peppered Moonie with kisses and Moonie would smile. Obsidian sunk himself deeper into the couch hoping for some level of comfort would come from that. He knew he was being ridiculous, he knew he didn't have Moonie just to himself but it just felt like he got pushed aside. He was buried in his thoughts and didn't notice that Aqua and Moonie left the beach and were heading back to the shack. Lost in his thoughts he heard the door open but was too distracted to give a proper hello.

"Hey Obby" Moonie smiled and waved.

"Mhmm" Obsidian gave him a weak wave. White Moonstone hopped onto the couch next to him and leaned his back against his shoulder.

"Good morning Obsidian," Aquamarine said cheerfully. Obsidian just nodded. Sunstone finally decided to join everyone and walked out from his room.

"You all know we have to do our monthly check today," Sunstone said naggingly.

"Do we have to" Moonie whined.

"Yes Moonie we do, if there's a corrupted gem out there we have to deal with it," Sunstone said. Moonie turned from on his back to now holding Obsidian's arm and putting his head on it.

"Why don't you two head out and I'll just stay here with Moonie" Obsidian offered. Sunstone rolled his eyes.

"Obsidian, the two of us going defeats the purpose of all of us going," Sunstone said. "If you two don't come with us we might as well have one of us go the next time because no one is going to want to go out"

"Look, Moonie doesn't want to go and if he doesn't want to he'll get annoyed while we're out" Obsidian reasoned. "And no one wants Moonie to be annoyed"

"Yeah I'll make sure to be extra bothersome," Moonie said reiterating Obsidian's point.

"Fine, Aqua and I will deal with it," Sunstone said dragging Aquamarine out before he tried to come up with an excuse to not go.

Obsidian relaxed into his seat and Moonie smiled still wrapped around his arm. Obsidian could feel himself becoming less bothered with the display that Aquamarine and Moonie would put up throughout the day. Now it was just him and Moonie and he could tell him over and over again how much he loved him and cared for him and everything. Obsidian smiled and moved his arm so it was wrapped around White Moonstone.

"Hey Obby, you've been acting kinda funny lately," Moonie said.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Well, you've been sulking more than usual" Moonie said looking concerned.

"It's nothing to worry about Moonie," Obsidian said rubbing the side of Moonie's arm.

"I know you Obsidian, something is bothering you" Moonie pushed.

"Moonie it's nothing" he repeated.

"No it's..." he started

"Just lay off Moonie" Obsidian snapped. He moved his arm from around him and crossed his arms.

"You're being so frustrating Obsidian. You always tell me what's wrong" Moonie said.

"Well if I'm being so frustrating why don't you go and find Aquamarine. I bet he'd love to have you" Obsidian said. Moonie went silent. After a while, he started up again.

"Has that been bothering you, me and Aqua" Moonie asked. Obsidian didn't answer. "Are you jealous of us"

"No of..." Obsidian started before he looked at the concern written all over White Moonstone's face. "Yes I am," he said, slightly embarrassed.

"It's just that I miss when you'd follow me around and you'd always try to talk with me when we first met," Obsidian said.

"Moonie it's just hard because I know you love Aqua so much and I want to be the one loving you. I want to be making you feel like you're the center of my world, I care about you so much" he continued. Moonie seemed caught off guard with how open Obsidian was right now.

"Obby it's not like I don't love you too, and you can always join us and we can just all be happy together," Moonie said sadly.

"I know but I don't want all three of us sometimes, sometimes I just want you Moonie," Obsidian said "And it always seems like you're closer with Aqua and that I'm just someone you come to when he's not around" Obsidian hung his head.

"Obsidian you mean so much to me" Moonie started. "You're all my best friends but you especially. You're my number one best friend in the whole world Obby. I love being around you so much and I love you with everything I've got Obby. I know Aqua and I are together a lot but it's just that we get each other on a certain level. But I love you Obsidian" Moonie said squeezing his friend into a big hug. Obsidian could feel himself getting overwhelmed with emotions.

"I love you too Moonie, so damn much," He said giving Moonie so many kisses. Moonie was blushing hard as Obsidian wasn't usually this affectionate. Moonie gave him smooches back and the two were giggling happily.

"I guess I was being silly, getting all jealous and stuff," Obsidian said as he was holding Moonie close.

"Yeah you're my big dork Obby," Moonie said smiling.

"Yes, I am," Obsidian said laughing softly. He pulled Moonie next to him as he laid down on the couch. Moonie cuddled up close and rested his head on Obsidian's chest. Slowly the two fell asleep happy to have made things right.
