Too Far

Weeks have been spent between Chrysoprase and Hematite arguing back and forth usually over anything Hematite did. He purposefully tried to be as messy as possible and remind Chrysoprase he didn't have any control over him. Today, Hematite laid on the ground on his stomach drinking some soda. He loved the fizz and being as it was a bit hot out enjoyed the coolness of his drink. He'd been drinking a bunch and left the bottles of soda lying around everywhere. Chrysoprase came out of Aquamarine's room having tidied it up. Once he saw the mess around he immediately turned furious. Hematite rolled onto his back and waved at him.

"Hematite what's this fucking mess," Chrysoprase said raising his voice.

"Got thirsty I suppose," He said calmly.

"Got thirsty, it looks like you decided to drink everything in the fridge," Chrysoprase said.

"Calm down you act as though I won't throw 'em away," He said standing up grabbing three bottles.

"I'm mad because if I didn't say something you wouldn't have cleaned up," Chrysoprase said ticked off.

"You like cleaning what's the big deal about it," He said throwing away the bottles. Chrysoprase stood in front of him and grabbed him by the cheeks.

"I own this house Hematite, I'm not gonna be bossed around by some sloppy oaf" Chrysoprase spit.

"Don't touch me" Hematite said getting angry.

"What are you gonna do huh? Are you gonna hit me?" Chrysoprase taunted. He knew Hematite wouldn't hit him. He refused under the fact he didn't want to be like Chrysoprase.

"Chrys let me go," He said sternly.

"I own this house and you're going to listen to me," Chrysoprase said harshly.

"No, you don't own me," Hematite said with just as much anger as Chrysoprase.

"You're such a worthless gem" He began "Moonie and Obsidian should never have been part of our team. Our group would be better off without you unwanted throwaways. You two were never wanted" Hematite looked furious right when he said that. He could take being called useless and lazy. Him saying that they weren't wanted, crossed a line for Hematite. He grabbed Chrysoprase by the neck and dragged him outside.

"Say that again I dare you," Hematite said, with no regard for keeping himself from hurting Chrysoprase.

"You were never wanted" He was able to yell out. Hematite threw him to the ground and summoned his huge axe. He heaved down with it hoping to just break them apart but Chrysoprase rolled out of the way and got up to pull out his ball and chain.

Chrysoprase swung the chain right for Hematite but very simply he swung his axe into it. Hematite was physically much stronger than him. With his swing, he was able to slice through the ball dissolving it to light. Even with his large stature and seemingly slow movements he was able to swing his axe again cutting right into Chrysoprase. The two unfused and fell onto the sand. Hematite's physical form began to shake. He was genuinely hurt by what was said. Obsidian and Moonstone unfused too. The beach was dead silent, Moonie felt like Aquamarine and Sunstone actually didn't want him here. Obsidian felt the same thing but was angrier compared to Moonie's sadness. Aquamarine looked like he was about to say something but Obsidian brushed himself off and tugged Moonie into the shack. The two went into Moonie's room and once inside Moonie started crying.

"They really don't want us, do they" He sobbed into Obsidian. "Aqua and Sunny hate us" Obsidian sat quiet comforting Moonstone but kept his anger brewing.

"Why would Aqua feel that way, he always says how much he loves us" He cried "Was he lying?" Moonie was always super insecure about his friendships and needed the constant reminder that he was loved.

"He's an ass same as Sunny" Obsidian said coldly. He gently kissed the top of Moonie's head "I need to be alone right now, is that okay" He asked him gently. Moonstone nodded and Obsidian walked out and went to his room. The weeks that Chrysoprase and Hematite were around they fixed the hole in the wall.

Moonie sat in his bed crying and Obsidian was quiet in his room. After some hours had passed, Moonstone had calmed himself down and walked over to Obsidian's room. He knocked on the door gently.

"Aqua if that's you I hope you know I'm willing to poof your sorry ass" He yelled.

"It's just me Obby," Moonstone said. He could hear Obsidian shuffle around on the other side and unlock his door. He opened it and let Moonie in. Moonstone took a deep breath and looked at Obsidian.

"I think we should forgive them," He said.

"What! They made you cry for hours Moonie what makes you think it's alright to just let them say that kind of stuff to us and yourself for that matter" Obsidian said angrily.

"That was Chrysoprase though that wasn't Sunstone and Aquamarine" He tried to reason.

"It was still the two of them. Them being Chrysoprase doesn't excuse what they said" Obsidian stated.

"Chrysoprase is their own person though Obby. When your Lightning Ridge it's not like you right now actually want to die" Moonstone said. Obsidian pursed his lips. "I know it's hard Obby and I'm still really hurt too but maybe we should hear them out"

"Do you really think we should?" He asked.

"We should at least see what they have to say," Moonstone said. Obsidian sighed and nodded.

"If they don't give a good enough apology I'll yell at them and then we'll leave," Obsidian said.

"I don't think it'll come to that Obby," he said softly. Obsidian squeezed Moonstone into a hug.

"You know I love you so much right," he asked with a smile. Moonstone nodded and the two went out into the living room.

Sitting on the couch was Aquamarine twiddling his fingers and Sunstone leaned against the wall. When the two walked out they both gave weak smiles. Obsidian turned away and could feel the anger rise in the pit of his stomach.

"We're all gonna sit at the Family Table and talk this out," Moonie said sitting down. Everyone else came round and sat down and it became quiet again. Sunstone hadn't moved though.

"Sunstone sit down," Obsidian said angrily.

"Why, we already know we all care about each other and that what was said was bad and wrong. Aqua and I already know what we did and you two should know we care about you two" Sunstone said. He played it off like he was annoyed but Moonie knew he was being sincere. Obsidian though wasn't having it.

"We already know that! Yeah sure that's why Moonstone spent hours crying in his room. We just knew you two cared about us sure" Obsidian yelled.

"Well, what do you want me to say Obsidian" Sunstone raised his voice.

"Something more than your usual cocky shit you throw around," Obsidian said.

"Fine! I like our stupid family nights, I like going out, all four of us and doing shit. I like when Moonie pesters me and you and I spend a night in. I love our dysfunctional little family because it's all I've got and as much as I don't say it. I love all of you" He yelled. Obsidian fell silent. Everyone sat in a dumbfounded silence.

Obsidian finally spoke up "I'm sorry I yelled at you like that Sunstone" Sunstone just nodded from against the wall.

"Aqua and I are sorry about what was said," He said. Moonie smiled a big smile. He stood up and rushed over to Sunstone and gave him a hug.

"I accept your apology Sunny. You big sap" He said happily.

"Can we stop being so mushy and just watch T.V or something?" He said slightly squirming in the hug.

"I'm fine with that" Obsidian said. Aqua walked over and gave Obsidian a quick kiss on the cheek and a gentle smile. All the boys gathered on the couch and spent the night together.
