(Warning: Chrysoprase is abusive to Obsidian and Moonie)

White Moonstone and Obsidian laid wrapped up in each other's arms when someone turned the door to the shack. Obsidian shot straight up ready to jump on whoever came in. Usually, he didn't react like this but in his sleepy state, he was more spooked by someone turning the door. Once his eyes adjusted he wished who he saw wasn't real and it was just some dazed imagination. Chrysoprase stood in the door, his face seemed to be annoyed by the fact Moonie and Obsidian had been laying around all day. Moonie lifted up his head and through tired eyes looked at Chrysoprase. He had no clue who it was. He looked over at Obsidian to see a look of apprehensiveness.

"Boysss" Chrysoprase hissed. "Have you two just been laying about in here all day"

"Yeah we've just been cuddling," Moonie said cheerfully. Obsidian's eyes went wide.

"Did you not notice how absolutely messy this room is, did you even think about how I might feel about you two not even trying to help around the house?" Chrysoprase said gradually sounding angrier.

"We just woke up from our naps," Obsidian said softly.

"Of course you did," Chrysoprase said annoyed. "Get out and let me do all of this. You two won't come back in until I'm done." He pointed them towards the door.

"You don't run this house" Moonie retorted. Chrysoprase looked at him dead in the eyes.

"Get out now!" He yelled and Obsidian immediately grabbed Moonstone and dragged him out of the shack. Once the two stepped out Chrysoprase slammed the door on the two.

"Who even is that," White Moonstone asked with his brow furrowed. They were a bit farther away now and able to talk freely.

"Chrysoprase," Obsidian said coldly.

"Is he always like that" Moonie asked.

"Yes, so please don't talk back to him. Last time I saw him was during the gem war and I don't want a repeat of what happened there" Obsidian said nervously.

"He can't boss us around Obby" White Moonstone protested.

"I'd agree with you if it was just Sunstone or Aquamarine but them together is not someone you want to fight with. Please just trust me on this." Obsidian said.

"Fine" Moonie grumbled and sat down in the sand. Obsidian sat next to him as they waited for Chrysoprase to let them back in.

Hours seemed to pass and clouds rolled in from the ocean. It seemed like it might rain and Chrysoprase still hadn't let them in yet. White Moonstone was huddled next Obsidian for warmth and the two kept waiting for him to come out. Once the clouds came overhead and with it rain they could hear the door turn and Chrysoprase call them in. The two rushed to the door but before they could be let in Chrysoprase stopped them. He pointed right at White Moonstone.

"If you try to give me attitude like you did earlier I'll send you back outside," He said. Moonie nodded and kept his head down.

"I won't," He said softly.

"I can't hear you" Chrysoprase raised his voice.

"I won't talk back again," Moonie said louder.

"Good" Chrysoprase for once sounded cheerful "Now I'll get you two towels to dry off" Obsidian started to walk in and Chrysoprase stopped him.

"Obsidian you're not coming in until I get both of you towels," He said sternly. Obsidian nodded and kept his head down. Chrysoprase walked to the back of the house and grabbed towels for the two and handed them one each.

The two gems began to dry themselves off and Chrysoprase stood watching them, waiting for them to be done. Once done he would check them to make sure that they were actually dry. Finally, the two were allowed back in the house and felt the slight warmth that was provided from being out of the rain. Chrysoprase watched them closely and Obsidian went to go sit on the couch, Moonie, on the other hand, was walking as fast as he could to his room. Obsidian gently sat where he usually did and moved the pillows from behind his back to the side. He was still extremely cold as the shack didn't have any real form of heat.

"Chrysoprase could I have a blanket please," Obsidian asked softly.

"Does it look like I'm your maid Obsidian?" He said angrily.

"No, I was just wondering if it's alright if I..." He started. Moonie had stopped his walk over to his room to watch this unfold.

"Obsidian if you're so incapable of getting yourself what you need, you're more pathetic than I thought" He snapped. Obsidian got up and walked over to the linen closet.

"I'm trying my best," He said under his breath.

"What was that," Chrysoprase asked.

"Nothing," Obsidian said quickly. Soon he felt a hand pull him by the back of his shirt and pull him up. His heart started pounding as Chrysoprase turned him so he could see him.

"I already had to tell Moonie not to talk back and now you" Chrysoprase yelled. "I didn't think I would have to be with two such stupid and worthless gems" He spat. Obsidian was squirming and tears were burning at his eyes.

"Obsidian you are nothing more than a pathetic wimp, I can see the tears wanting to spill," Chrysoprase said almost sounding like he was taunting him. Moonie stood shocked as he had never seen Obsidian cry.

"Please let go of me. I promise I won't cause any more problems" he choked out as tears started streaming down his face. Chrysoprase simply dropped him on the ground.

"I'm the head of this house and you two will go to bed now," Chrysoprase said his words dripping with venom. Obsidian walked past Moonie and stifling back his cries. Moonie had seen all the tears and fear written over his face.

"Can Obsidian sleep with me tonight?" he asked nicely.

"No don't pity him, he hasn't learned his lesson yet," Chrysoprase said harshly and White Moonstone turned back and went into his room. Once inside he could hear through his walls Obsidian crying into a pillow. His heart broke immediately and sat near the wall until he could hear Obsidian had fallen asleep. Once he did he crawled into bed quietly and tried his best to sleep.
