Leondre's POV:
On shaky legs I slowly walk downstairs. Before I reach the end of the stairs I can see mum sat at the dinner table, just like old times. I stop walking and just look at her. I can barely remember the few times when she's been the best mum in the world, it's sad, 'cause I wish that was all I could remember.
Suddenly she tilts her head and looks at me. Our eyes meet and I get a lump in a throat. Should I just go upstairs again?

We just stare each other for a long time, like two cats who have just met for the first time. Then I look away and take a deep breath. I need a plan. What if she starts hitting me or... calling me things again? Should I call Charlie then...?

No... He probably won't come pick me up anyway since I've been so rude... I decide to call Joey instead if anything happens.
With that in mind I continue walking down the stairs and slowly go into the kitchen. My mother is still watching me as I sit down on a chair opposite her. I don't say anything. She doesn't say anything either. We just sit there.

I look down at my hands placed in my lap. I already miss Charlie... I mean, we've been a couple for two years and it feels really weird to fight with him. I don't want to fight with him, I just want everything to be like a dance on roses, that's the problem. Life isn't that easy, but I keep getting my hopes up about it being better all the time, which just ends up with me being disappointed.

"Leo..." I suddenly hear a familiar voice say carefully. I look up to face her. My mum. "I- I don't know where to start..."
I don't say anything and I do my best not to express or show off any emotions at all.
"I'm so sorry for h-how I've treated y-you and T-Tilly all those years..." She starts, but falls silent because of the tears rolling down her cheeks. I can't help but feel guilt. I don't know why, but I do. It feels like this is all my fault.

She starts talking and explaining and I can't keep myself from tears either. After like half an hour we both just sit there and cry and mum finally finishes.
"Leondre, I'm so sorry, I understand that you'll never forgive me and I respect that. I just wanted to apologize and I want you to know that I'm truly sorry." Mum tells me, looking into my eyes the whole time, like she really means it.
I don't know what to say, but I just can't sit there anymore. I slowly stand up, my legs are still shaking, and walk closer to her.

I just look at her for a few seconds, before leaning down and pulling her into a hug. She quickly hugs me back and sobs into my neck. Even though I can't even remember the last time I hugged my mum, I feel like I have missed this feeling.
"I love you so much, Leondre." She says suddenly. I almost get a heart attack. I can't remember one single time when she has said that to me.

"I love you too, mum." I smile through my tears.

Charlie's POV:
I arrive at Luke's place and I decide to knock on the door just to let him know that I'm picking my car up. I ring on the doorbell and it doesn't take many seconds before the door opens and I see the familiar boy in front of me.
"Hey, Charlie!" He smiles. "Good to see you again."
"Hi." I reply, managing to make a fake smile.
"How's everything going?" He asks, leaning against the doorframe.
"Good, I guess." I answer, not wanting to go in on details.

"Wanna come in?" Luke asks nicely.
"No, actually, I'm on my way to my mum's. I'm just gonna pick up the car, but thanks anyway."
"Okay, well, it was nice talking to you."
"Yeah, same. It was a nice party yesterday, by the way."
"Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Did you leave early, I didn't see your after 11 pm? Somebody said you left with my Mikey?" Luke says, frowning a bit.
"Uhh... Yeah, I would rather not talk about it..."
"Oh... Okay. But just let me know if something bothers you, I know that Mikey can be a little...creepy sometimes."
"You don't say..." I answer and roll my eyes, causing Luke to chuckle a bit.

I shove my hands into my pockets on my sweatpants and start to slowly rock back and forth.
"Well, I gotta go now." I say and Luke nods.
"It was nice talking to you." He replies.
"Same."
"We have to meet up soon again, I wanna get to know your boyfriend a bit more."
"Uhh... Yeah, sure. I'll text you sometime." I answer as I start walking backwards to my car.
"Okay, bye." Luke waved with his hand.
"Bye." I waved back before he closed the door and walked back into the house.

This is short and shitty, but I'm tired and lonely so yeah...
I might not update on Monday, I'll do my best, but if not, then I just don't have time, I will update next Thursday again for sure though.

I'mma try to finish this book soon, I feel like it's very long.
