Over the weekend Damien and I spent the whole time together. We're not official, but I'm getting pretty damn impatient. I know we've only known each for a week, but this feels real.

I didn't speak to Grayson and Ethan over the weekend, though. They're my best friends, but I was too nervous to flare up a conversation with them because of what happened.

But, it's currently 7:15 AM and I'm waiting by ny front door for them to pick me up.

"Honk!" Ethan's car roared from outside.

I gulped and let out a deep breath. These are your best friends, Beth. You can't lose them.

I opened the front door and the passenger window was down as usual with them staring at me, smiling. That msde me release a smile and also a sigh. I think they're over it.

Ethan and I aren't over it. How am I supposed to get over the fact that Beth left Ethan and I for a kid she's known for a week?

Beth awkwardly sat herself in the back seat, "Hi... guys."

I lied, "Hey, Beth. Let's just stop this weirdness. Ethan and I are fine, and you can do whatever you want."

Beth sighed, "I'm so glad to hear that. Ethan, are you good?"

I noticed Ethan grip the steering wheel as Beth said his name, probably sending a shock down his spine. I know that's what happens to me when she announces my name.

Ethan stuttered, "Y-Yeah, it's all good. Damien's a good kid."

"Bullshit," I muttered under my breath.

"What'd you say, Gray?" Beth questioned.

"Oh, nothing," I lied as I stared at my sore red fists that made a hole in my wall the previous day.

The three of us walked into first period together and sat ourselves down. Ethan and I up front and Beth in the back with Damien.

Mrs. Stro boringly lectured the class about a novel we've started reading.

"Okay, now for the next 20 minutes of class, you'll be finishing your essay. Begin," Mrs. Stro explained.

Faint whispers echoed across the room, but two in particular voices caught my attention. Beth and Damien. I didn't want to turn around and give Damien the 'stare'. But, I know Beth would be upset with me if I were to snap again.

My head was faced the front, but it was slightly tilted to my right. I wanted to turn around so bad and just call Damien out. For what, though? He's not doing anything wrong that I should be complaining about. I'm just stubborn and I crave Beth's attention.

I wrote not even nearly 7 words down on my paper, I was too busy trying to make out what Damien and Beth were conversating about. I furrowed my brows concentrating on my hearing.

"So, we've admitted we like each other..." Beth whispered.

I gulped and shaked my leg nervously. I quickly glanced at Ethan to see him knocked out asleep drooling on his assignment.

I listened harder.

Damien cleared his throat, "So, maybe we could start... dating?"

I don't know what happened, but I snapped. I stood up and flipped the desk over infront of me. My fists were clenched to the max while my jaw was too. I could feel the heat beating off my skin as I breathed hard.
