16|"mission accomplished"

"Mission accomplished!" I shouted tossing a leftover roll to the back seat.

Ethan speeded down the road, gripping the wheel.

I checked the time, 11:24 PM.

"What time does the movie end?" Ethan asked in concern leaving the ghetto part of the community.

I quickly googled the time showings for 'IT', and smiled, "It ends in 10 minutes."

Ethan chuckled, "Perfect."

"Good luck cleaning up that mess Damien," I said as I checked off 'toilet paper' and 'eggs' off our list.

Did Damien actually think we would be all friendly to him and accept him like that? Real funny, Damien, but it's not that easy. We have some things we have to take care of first. And, they may involve in trashing your beloved home. Close to how you trashed my heart

Doing this, will teach him a lesson. A lesson to not have Beth fall in love with him.

Ethan and I are going to make Damien think we like him, so he wouldn't expect anything. We're geniuses.

Now, we just have a couple more things we need to do.

Damien wasn't in first period today, once Beth realized that she got all sad. It was our first day to start working on our group projects, I guess Beth has to work solo today. I'd rather her being solo then even close to Damien.

At lunch, Beth kept quiet, whike everyone was having a good time. She was constantly looking around, in hopes of finding Damien, thinking he was just late to first period. But, he was no where to be seen. Honestly, I had no clue where he was.

I noticed Beth was on her phone and was texting a contact named, 'Damien <3'. God, just get him out of your head for one minute.

A minute later, Beth let out a dramatic gasp.

"What?" I asked in concern.

Beth looked back up at me, "Damien is in the hospital."

Both, Ethan and I's eyes widened.

"What happened?" I quickly ask.

"I-I don't know. Can we go there after school to see him?" Beth stuttered.

Ethan nodded his head while he rubbed her back to comfort her, "Of course."

Beth covered her face with her hands and Ethan and I eye balled each other, thinking the same thing. Why the hell is this kid in the hospital?

I drove the three of us to the hospital, only for Beth. Beth was concerned for Damien.

"I really don't get what could've happened. D-damien dropped me off and then he drove back home- oh my god. What if he got into a car accident?" Beth muttered to herself.

I looked up at the front view mirror to see her, "Beth, he's going to be fine. What'd he say in the text?"

I was trying to make it seem like I was concerned for him.
