32|"i'm not a fucking object"

"Beth, wanna come over and watch the big premiere for Wonder  tonight? I swear you read that book 10 time in the 6th grade," Grayson smiled as he walked up to me sitting in my seat before first period began.

I slightly glanced over to Damien staring up at Grayson. Then, Damien looked at me and back to his cast that he asked me to come with him to take off today. But, Wonder is one of my favorite books and I've been waiting to watch the big premiere for so long.

I awkwardly smiled, "I'm actually going with Damien to get his cast off, sorry."

Grayson smiled and shrugged his shoulders, "That's fine. We could go at a later time."

It breaks my heart denying him, but I need to prove to Damien.

"I have a lot to study for. No time for movies, Gray," I said.

Grayson scowled at Damien and nodded his head and walked back to his seat where Ethan was seating in the front.

"Thank you," Damien muttered as class was beginning to start.

I nodded my head, "You better take me out to see Wonder after taking off that cast."

Damien grinned, "Don't worry baby, I'll take you out tonight."

At lunch, I have to stick with keeping my distance from the twins, so I sat with Damien and his group of friends.

Honestly, I hate all of Damien's friends. All of them love to objectify and cat call woman at our school. A few of them have gotten in trouble for not keeping their hands to themselves.

Anthony, in particular was the guy who told me that apparently Damien would give him sloppy seconds,and also the guy who slapped my ass. I hate him the most. And, I ended up sitting right beside him and Damien.

Right as I sat down at their table all of Damien's friends glanced at each other and made remarks to each other that were most likely inappropriate sayings. I think Damien noticed because he swung his arm around my shoulder, in a protective manner, and he eyes down all his friends.

"Damien, who's this?" Some guy in a hoodie sitting directly in front of me asked.

Damien rolled his eyes, "You know who this is."

"Yeah, it's Damien's fine ass girl," Anthony chimed in.

All of his friends began to laugh and nod their heads.

Damien gulped, "Shut up, guys."

One of Damien's friends that was sitting right next to the one in the hoodie, was wearing a pair of glasses, was giving me looks that made me feel uncomfortable. He was biting his lower lip as he slightly nodded his head.

 The one with the glasses spoke up, "Damien, you mind sharing?"

I felt Damien's grip on me tighten.

I spoke up before Damien could, defending myself.

"I'm not a fucking object," I muttered.
