Baba: Thirteen

KATSUMI POV

"So...this is awkward," I break the long silence.

I had taken Baba to one of the museums I was supposed to go to on the school trip.

Wow, I can't believe it's been only three days. It felt like....pft twelve or thirteen chapters.

"...Did you know that that painting over there to tell left was done by the Japanese Leonardo Di Vinci?"

"Doesn't he have a name?" I asked.

"No one bothers to remember it. Did you know, my cousin, Atsumu: leader of the Black Foxes, is dating his granddaughter?" He told me.

"Hot."

"Oh look, there featuring a few of Ota's works. Let's check that out." I drag Baba out to see some of my...uncle's(?) work.

"Huh, Ota's scarily good."

"Yeah, he's still got it."

"Still?" I was confused.

"Oh, right, Ota's been a famous painter since before you were born. He's been well known since... his early twenties, I believe." He explained.

"Wait... how old is Ota? I thought he was, like, 27 max."

"He's turning 42 in a few weeks."

"Holy fu-"

It was a few hours later and I still couldn't comprehend the fact Ota was in his forties.

"Are you sure he didn't, like, find the Fountain of Youth or some shit like that?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Okay, what about-"

"Katsumi," he said, "this is the 45th question you've asked me. Yes, he's 42. And yes, I'm 52. No, I did not sell my soul to look 35. Neither did Ota to look 27, Soryu to 33, Eisuke to 28, and Mamoru... well, all the smoking hasn't done well for his skin but I'll give him he looks a year or two younger."

"I think Soryu's hot." I said without realizing the man next to me was my father.

"Don't we all..." he sighed wistfully.

"Wait... wha-"

And that's how I learnt my father had a secret love affair with Soryu for years.

After the long story of how Soryu was a closeted homosexual and how he and Baba had steamy love sessions back "in their day"(something I wish I had never learnt), I told Baba I needed to use the restroom.

I bumped into a girl there, "oh sorry,"I told her.

She grinned at me ominously, "no problem, miss Ichinomiya."

"Oh, well that's good- wait, did you just say-"

I was hit in the back of my head before I could finish.

YUI POV

"In your honor, Eisuke, I present to you a royal flush," I set down the house of Spades.

Everyone groaned and gave up after the eighth time I beat them.

"I wonder how Katsumi and Baba are doing," I told Soryu.

"They'll be fine, Koro. Your little puppy is in no danger with Baba."

"Ota, never talk like that again. I wasn't kidding about the fire thing."

He shuddered.
