Entry #9
Dear Diary,
One of my clients approached me after work today.
I exited the club through the back door like I usually do and there he was.
Waiting.
"O-oh, hello, sir! What are you doing here? Didn't you leave over a few hours ago?"
He gave me this... smile, if that's what one could call it, that made my stomach knot up. It made me feel like I was about to vomit up the takoyaki Ume and I had shared right before she left through the front.
He gave me some spiel about how he thought about how scary it must be for such a... pretty young "creature" to walk to the train station by themselves. He kept on calling me that, along with "thing." My skin felt like it wanted to crawl off my body.
I told him that I was fine and thanked him for being so considerate but I needed to get going or I'd miss the last train home.
He got annoyed with me. Ranted about how he went out of his way to be chivalrous and this was the thanks he got from me.
I apologized and kept insisting that I needed to get home, but he just would not listen.
He then stated that I'd never make it to the station and my best bet was to just come home with him instead.
He got closer and closer to me and I backed into the door to the club. I tried to open it but it was no use. The manager had already locked up for the night.
Please, I begged him, leave me alone. I had felt tears streaming down my face as I prayed for Eito- for anyone to save me as he moved to restrain me.
And there she was.
My golden-haired guardian angel.
It had all happened so fast and I had shut my eyes, but when the most soothing voice I had ever heard tell me that it was okay I opened them.
She was beautiful and foreign but her Japanese was as smooth and flawless as her ivory skin.
She was tall, thin, and appeared to be a few years older than me. Maybe seventeen.
I glanced behind her to see the client lying in a pool of his blood.
"Don't worry, he isn't dead. But it's certainly going to be a while before he wakes up."
I threw myself into her arms whilst thanking her through my sobs.
"Shh, it'll be alright, Pretty Bones."
I wondered if she was mixing up her words but maybe complimenting someone's bones was a Western thing.
"I'm afraid by the time we reach the station the last trains will have left. Would you like for me to drive you home?"
I was rather wary of her offer after what had happened mere moments earlier, but I was tired, lived in Kawasaki, and fairly certain that I wouldn't mind if this beautiful woman skinned me and used my skeleton for a science model.
I admitted that I lived 30 minutes outside of Tokyo but she didn't seem to mind at all.
"Tell me, Pretty Bones," she put her arm around my shoulders as she led me out of the alley, "have you ever been inside a limousine?"
