YEARS LATER
I'm 25 now.
Its been 9 and a half years since my mother died. A lot has changed since then.
It took a while for my happiness and humour to come back, but slowly, piece by piece, it eventually did. Not entirely, but most of it, at least.
Dad's almost 61 and happily married to Soryu.
Kana and I dated for a while, but we broke up after a three and a half years when she fell in love with Mizuki.
Seven months later I was "best girl" at their wedding in America.
I didn't mind.
A year after graduation Mr. Sera got Ume pregnant.
They are happily married and expecting their fourth child.
Eisuke met a woman who's just turned 30 years old the day they met. She's now his wife and when I asked her to describe the relationship between her and Eisuke when they first got together. Her exact words were, " It was like, Finally, in love again."
I approved the relationship on the spot.
Did I ever find anyone? I did.
And he's one of the greatest things to ever happen to me.
"Hey," he asked me from the left side of the bed, "whatcha thinking about?"
"You," I said, smiling.
He pinned me playfully and kissed my forehead, his silverish colored hair dangling down, "I love you, Katsumi."
"I love you too, Megeru."
As you can see, I DID get my happy ending.
How I got it all?
