TAKAHIRO POV

My wife and I sat on the love seat in the penthouse of the Tres Spades Hotel & Casino feeling the glares and occasional hurt glances from her former lover and friends. Not really where I was expecting to be tonight.

"So..." my wife nervously laughed, "how have you guys been? I heard you have a kid around Asuka's age, Eisuke. Tough raising kids, amaright? So, who was that special lady?"

Mr. Ichinomiya scowled, my wife flinched and grabbed my hand. I didn't like either of their reactions.

Yui, however, merely sighed, "Yeah, I get it. I've got three in total. Asuka's always been such a good girl, thank goodness. But, my other daughter, Tomoe... I love her to death, but she can be quite the handful. Takeo, her twin, is such a little gentleman, though Tomoe has made it her life mission to corrupt him. Hehe... I bet you feel that way about Eito. He looked pretty cozy with Hikaru's daughter, eh?"

"Do you think you can just waltz in here and everything will be alright? How stupid and naive are you?"

I gripped Yui's hand tightly as she began tracing stars and swirls on the back of my hand to calm me down.

The man in the red suit, who I learnt was Baba, said, "Pretty lady, just ignore Eisuke. However... he has a point. You just packed up and Ota- left all of us. Did four years of friendship not mean anything to you?"

Yui took a deep breath then stood up to face the five men head on, though I noticed Ota was further away and more towards the back, "And of those four years, what happened? What was my name? What went on in the basement of the Tres Spades? You think I would expose a child to any of that? No offense, Eisuke."

"Non- no. All the offense taken," he walked over to Yui, his golden eyes, once piercing with rage, now shone with hurt, but only for a moment, "Eito is eighteen, and I didn't even know him till he was four. In that time I never exposed him to the auctions. Do you honestly think Ota- or any of us- would let Asuka see it too? The only reason he's aware of the auctions is because of that Aihara girl."

For the first time, Ota spoke, "Kor- Yui. We were together for four years. We were engaged. I know that I wasn't always the best finance or boyfriend, but I always kept you safe from harm and do you really think I'd go out of my way to fuck up our kid by calling you Koro and treating you like a dog? You think I would let her sit on my lap at the auction hall as stolen artifacts, organs, people got sold to whoever had the most money? That I'd take her to the casino and watch her play Roulette with rich drunken sleaze-balls? Fuck, did you not bother getting to know me at all those years? I would have moved us to New York, bought a nice house with a large room and all the toys she could ever want. She would've had a dog, or a cat, or whatever animal she wanted. I would've gone to all her school events and have hundreds of pictures of you and her plastered throughout the home. I would've given you and her everything!"

"Then why haven't you done that for your own wife now?!"

"Because Sakiko isn't you! And you were always it for me!" His eyes widened at his own words, as if he was only realizing it as he said it, "I... Yui, you're the only women I could ever truly give my heart to. Saki, she's... I love Hina, more than life itself. She and my unborn child are my world. But... it... it shouldn't have gone this way."

We were all taken aback by his words. His wife was pregnant and he was saying all of this to his married ex-fiancée?

Yui walked past Mr. Ichinomiya and slapped her former love, "How dare you! How fucking dare you?! Saying these things to me... We're both married, for fucks sake. I'm sorry your marriage sucks and you miss me, but I'm happy. I have everything I've ever wanted, and I refuse to let you try and say that it shouldn't have gone this way. You're  a father of not only two, but apparently three children. One of them is ours, so at least there's that. But riddle me this; I met Takahiro ten years ago. But before that it was just me and Asuka for six years on our own. You had at least six fucking years to find me. I was in Fukuoka. That whole time. And... had you actually tried to find me... I would've gone back. I would've married you. We would have raised Asuka together and probably had more children..." she placed a hand on his cheek, causing a stabbing feeling in my chest. No... this could not be happening. Please...

"Yui..."

They embraced.
