Why is finding someone good,
To be good to me, so rare?
So uncommon..
If I don't understand then reason with me.
Why can't people reciprocate
love or appreciation?
And why must you drain me of all my good vibes,
of all my good times,
and fill my days with constant lies
giving me hard times?
And why must you envelope me in false security
of my outer beauty,
and unloosen my insecurities?
And why must you waste time getting to know me?
just to up and leave me,
at least give me the curtesy
of a two weeks notice.
And why must you be cold and distant
to my warm touch and closest love?
Be good to me
I'll be good to you,
regardless.
Be good to those that treat you good,
just in case you haven't learned this.
You couldn't be good enough,
to at least cherish my efforts.
But I hope,
One day,
You're good to her
In spite of all this.
