Flower

You're the toughest flower,
I could never compare.
When the sun is shining,
it favors you.

Because on my side,
It's dark, cloudy and cold,
And the trees are covered in snow.

I guess it's worth the sacrifice,
If it means that you could still grow.

I'd take the moon and black holes
So you could have the stars at your home.

You can keep the galaxies in your arms
And I'll keep the comets at bay,
flaming in my hands
until they turn grey.

I'll lose my gravity,
Just so you could walk across the moon with no interruption, and gain clarity.

Because you're the toughest flower of them all.

To gather your leaves would be an honor
That I'm unworthy of,
I could never pluck you up
Because you're pure as a dove.
