Today is Friday, which means that Ned had convinced us all to go to a party. Although, he didn't accomplish this all on his own. Kelsey played a major part in getting Chris to agree, and then once he did, everyone else followed.
Immediately after school, I went shopping for new clothes. The thirty bucks Ned gave me to show up tonight plus some money my grandparents have given me the past month I've been staying with them.
I settle on high-waisted black pants, a grey lace bralette with an oversized leather jackets and black boots.
As I walk down the driveway I look down at my wrists that appear to be almost fully healed. It's taken over two weeks but now I can finally go back to crop tops next week.
"Where are you off to?" My grandfather asks as kneeling in front of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
"Hey nice bike," my eyes widen as walking to his side.
"It belonged to my brother" my grandfather informs as cleaning the bike with a white cloth.
"Tell him he's got a good taste" I fold my arms and smile.
"He's died a few years back Evangeline," he tells me "he left me his bike...God knows why"
I furrow my brows. "You never rode it?"
"Never have, never will" my grandpa admits.
It's so beautiful though. What a waste.
I never got my drivers license because I had lived in New York my entire life, but I do have my motorcycle license.
God, I miss riding. It was the perfect escape from the world.
"You know I got my motorcycle license" I inform him.
"So what are you telling me?" His glances up at me.
"If you ever want to get rid of it" I start "I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands"
"Thanks for the offer Evangeline" he smirks "but I'm not ready to give her up just yet"
But you're not even riding it.
"When will you be ready?" I question.
"You can have her when I'm dead, how about that?" he smiles.
Wow.
"Deal" I smirk "see ya Grandpa"
"Hey, where are you off to?" He repeats himself.
"Hanging with friends" I explain "don't wait up"
With that, I continue walking down the street. I did time for grand theft auto, so I wonder if they're worried that I'd steal the bike?
Suddenly a car pulls up to the side of the kerb. With all the windows down, I see my friends.
"Get in" Chris orders as sitting in the passenger seat.
The grey Cadillac CTS V belonged to Ned, who was currently sitting in the driver's seat. I open the door before sliding into the back seat, besides Blake and Jenny. Ned continues driving down the street as I fasten my seat belt.

"How the fuck did we get dragged into this?" I question as we slowly enter the crowded house.
"Two words" Jenny starts "Marcus' girlfriend"
I wonder if any of Chris's friends realize that he and Kelsey aren't actually together.
"And Ned" Blake adds.
