I walk down the hallway quickly, avoiding people like I do best. I took yesterday off school for my grandpa's funeral. So I haven't spoken to my friends in days as I've been avoiding them since Blake kissed me.
"What are you doing?" Ned asks when approaching me.
Dancing on Mars with Barry Allen.
"Walking," I say simply.
"You've been avoiding us for days," a high-pitch voice says.
I furrow my brows in her direction to see Jenny pop up from behind Ned.
Here we go.
I don't have the time to deal with the Marcus drama. My grandma is being transferred to a nursing home and my grandpa is dead. Am I really going to deal with the Marcus's - Yeah I think not.
"Have I?" I raise a brow.
"You're important to us all...we can't lose your friendship over something so stupid," Jenny tells me.
I have bigger shit happening in my life right now. I'm already a fucking soap opera, I don't need any more drama.
"I'm not playing their games," I say simply. "I know what this is...its sibling rivalry...neither of them care about me...they're just two kids who got bored and need something new to fight over"
"You don't honestly believe that do you?" Ned cock's a brow.
Blake and Chris are idiots. They're two idiots that are messing with my head and I refuse to play their games.
"I honestly do" I nod.
"I can promise you that you're wrong," Ned says.
How can he be so sure?
"Please eat lunch with us" jenny begs. "It's actually so boring without you..please...please"
I don't believe that. Considering that I barely talk at lunch.
"Jen-" I roll my eyes.
"Please" she repeats.
Ugh.
"And what am I supposed to do? Ignore the fact that both twins are supposedly sweet on me?" I raise a brow.
"Yes," they both respond simultaneously.
Do I have to? I much rather sit outside alone. But I guess that saying No is not an option.
"Fine but I swear if it gets awkward-" I stary.
"We'll make it less" Jenny smiles as we slowly enter the cafeteria.
"I hate you both" I mutter as we see our usual table.
I see both Blake and Chris as well as another guy. I could only see the back of his head. Have they invited one of their jock friends to sit with us?
The man turns around causing me to stop in my tracks. My eyes widen in disbelief.
I recognize him well. I know his chestnut brown hair and green eyes all too well. I take a step back as my heart begins to pound.
"Eva-" Jenny glares at me as we stand a few feet away from the table. She drags me towards them. "Eva this is Sam...We told you about him"
I shake my head. How? How is he here?
"It's his first day back" Ned informs as he takes a seat beside Chris.
Samuel Wood, as in the stoner friend who has been in jail for sixteen months? I'm sorry but this guy is not Samuel Wood.
"You're Eva?" Sam starts in confusion as slowly getting out of his seat, taking a step towards him.
