I walk through the crowded hallway with an agenda. To make it from point A to point B. Pushing past all the cliques, attempting not to drop my helmet in the process. I make it to my locker, it only takes a second to open. I grab the necessary books, and chuck my helmet right at the back, before slamming my locker door shut.

I turn around to find a man who pushes me up against the locker doors. My back was pressed against a locker, his hands sat beside the sides of my head. His body almost touching mine. Damn, he smells good, but I swear I'll kick his balls if he doesn't get away from me.

"Angel" he greets with a smirk.

"Sam" I clench my jaw as I look into his eyes.

"You know I miss being this close to you" Sam lowers his voice.

The funny thing was, Sam was bitter. He made it his very mission to taunt me ever since we first saw each in the cafeteria. So when he says stuff like this, I pay no attention.

"You're forgetting that I can easily beat the shit outta you" I warn.

"I taught you everything I knew" he declares "except now I know more. I've done time"

"I've done more" I remind him.

"Yeah in a women's prison"

I clench my jaw before kneeing his crotch. I grab his arm, twisting it, and pressing his body, face first against the lockers. I held his arm into place, making it impossible for him to move.

"Yeah in a women's prison" I whisper in his ear before letting go and walking down the hallway.

I think Sam is cocky, he always has been. I also think he underestimates me, something that he never used to do.

"Hey" Jenny greets as I stop in front of her locker. "I love my tattoo by the way"

"Good" I nod ".....I'm sorry by the way, about your Mum. I had no idea."

"Its okay. I uh leave the system when I go off to college" she half smiles.

"....Have you been with these people long?" I ask her.

"Six years," she tells me "but before them, I was bounced around a lot"

"Oh I'm sorry" I soften my gaze.

Suddenly a stray dog comes running towards us. It was the size of a German Shepherd. My eyes widen as my heart rate increases. I freeze as the dog barks viciously at me.

"Now Miss Sanders or else little fluffy over here is gonna rip your arm off" the prison guard begins laughing evilly.

"It's just a dog Eva" Jenny smiles as a teacher grabs the dog that stood only a few feet in front of me.

Dogs smell fear.

No fears. No tears.

"Are you okay Miss Sanders?" Mr Daniels, my bio teacher questions as wrapping his arms around the dog.

I nod as taking a step back. My heart rate increases.

You're fine Angel. You're fine.

"You scared of dogs or something?" Ned laughs as approaching us.

"Now Ned-" Mr Daniels starts with the dog still in his grasp.

"Please get it away from me" I begin a terrified voice.

Mr Daniels looks at me. He sympathized. He nods before taking the dog outside — but it's too late, my whole body is now trembling,

"Why so shaken up?" Blake questions from Ned's side.
