"I don't understand" I sigh, pasting in his apartment. "We broke up over two years ago"
"And you said that you two hadn't seen each other till recently" Chris points out.
"But it doesn't make sense" I shake my head "Sam's an asshole...a complete and utter asshole-"
"Assholes can love," Chris says as sitting on his sofa.
Chris and I are finally in a solid place and Sam pulls this. He doesn't love me, I know he doesn't — he's just trying to get in my head. He's trying to ruin me and Chris because he's a possessive jerk. He thinks I'm his, but he has to realise that I'm not that girl who used to assault people in the street and rob people for sport. I can't be her anymore.
"How did it end between you two?" Chris asks curiously.
Well.....that's complicated. My mind then goes back almost three years.
"Let me finish" I begged as my face was only a few inches away from his.
"No! I won't let you push me away"
"Forget me...I'm going to be gone a long time" I started "we most likely won't see each other ever again"
"I know what you're doing and it's not gonna work"
"Don't visit me...don't call me...forget my number" I struggled to say as his beautiful eyes filled with sadness.
I hadn't anticipated this part.
"Angel-"
"Forget my name" I firmed my gaze "goodbye Sam"
"I dumped him" I explain as glancing at Chris with wide eyes.
"Did you guys end on bad terms?" He raises a brow.
"I will never stop loving you" he placed his hand on my cheek.
"Forget me" I ordered.
"You could say that" I nod as Chris stands up.
"Hey its okay," Chris says as wrapping his arms around me "everything will be fine"
My head lays in his chest as his hands sit on my lower back. Chris makes me feel safe. He reminds me how relationships should be. Sam and I were a toxic mess right from the start.
"Not if Sam's involved" I sigh as looking up at my boyfriend as throwing my hands over his shoulders.
He has this reassuring look in his eyes. "Eva...everything will fine" he repeats before kissing my lips. "Do you need a ride home?" He questions as pulling away.
"Yeah, I do actually" I half smile.
"Let me grab my coat" he smiles back as leaving my sight.
I sigh. What am I going to do about all this?
Knock knock
Who could that be? God, it better not be one of Ned's parents, that'll be awkward as fuck.
I walk quickly towards the front door. Furrowing my brows as I swing the door open. Suddenly a guy enters my sight. His hair was wet and messy and he has a towel on his shoulders.
"Oh...hi Eva," Blake says awkwardly as scratching the back of his head.
"Hi, Blake" I greet.
He looks at me with pain in his eyes. He still had feelings for me, but he has to move on.
"You ready?" Chris says as reentering the room.
I don't look at Chris - I hold Blake's gaze. He's so miserable, I can tell. I wish I could make him happy, but I can't.
