Chapter 33 : I Don't Like To Marry You.

Oh dear.

I looked at his sparking eyes that looked up at me with love. Not did he just display and prove his love to me tonight but he also reeked of it.

His love was noticeable. I loved him dearly but I know that saying 'yes' would surely give me light.

But an even darker darkness with it.

But I had made my choice.

'No, I don't like to marry you Edward. I just don't like to', I reply firmly.

He looked at me through shocked and heartbroken eyes. He started to get up sadly when I stopped him

'Wait! You didn't let me finish?', I quickly say and go on,'You've been there for me a lot. And I know we've gone through tough times and we'd Continue to do so. I have deep feelings for you Edward that is beyond Love. Sure, you've hurt me before but you've brought me back anyway. It's like, your my lamp in the darkness. You know what? Just stop listening to me rambling on and on. Long deep romantic story short, No, I don't like to marry you', I breathed,'I'd loved to marry you'

*Edward's View*

I only paid attention to the last bit of what she was saying,'I don't like to marry you...I'd love to'

My heart simply skipped a beat. I let out a sigh I didn't knew I was holding back and my shoulders started to ease.

She said yes.

After snapping back to reality I shot up and asked for her hand again and she beamingly handed it. I took the ring from my other hand and inserted it on her finger,'God, Elena you scared me. I forgot how ruthless you tend to be'

'Come on, excited was needed', she chuckled and pulled me to an embrace. She wrapped her little delicate hands around my neck and leaned in to kiss me.

I couldn't wait.

I dashed forward and crushed my lips against hers. She tasted like mint chocolate. The cupcake.

Damn I've been so worried before that she'd swallow the whole cupcake. I mean, I'll have to dig her poop.

Change of thoughts.

But overall, I'll dig anything to find that ring and ask her again. She was just that worth it. And besides, she was worth even more than the ring. The ring was as much worth as one hair strand in her beautiful sea of hair.

On her head of course.

She's surprisingly clean down.

What am I thinking? Oh god I'm so stupid.

Suddenly I heard cheers and yells and let go of Arlene reluctantly and look around to see everyone standing there.

Literally.

Mum and dad was there. So was Derick and Oliver! I even spotted Alice's head in the crowd. They even bought Annabelle in her cradle. All my uncles and aunts and other high figures. It was quite infuriating.

Why did they have to bother on mine and Elena's special moment?
Elena recovered from her shock and chuckled next to me as if she read my mind,'Well, at least it'll make a good story for our children'

Children.

That calmed me down a bit. I don't know why. The thought of me and Elena; husband and wife with children was had suddenly my anchor. It kept me rooted.

My mother suddenly stood before us,'I'm so proud of you two!'

She hugged us tightly as she went walked back to a beaming Father. Oliver and Derick walked up to us next.

'You made us wait over an hour over there! You know, normal people barely take forty minutes to eat dinner!', Oliver whined.

'You deserved that', I muttered as Elena laughed. She of course wasn't mad at either of them. She almost seemed delighted.

That eased me fully and I became myself again more properly,'How did you guys know we'd be here?'

'Well... I kind of saw you with the buyer when he came to your palace. I saw you checking out rings and I kind of told Oliver. And well, he took it from there and went major and started following you around. Dragged me as well to almost all your meetings and dinners. It's a wonder we've stayed under the radar', Derick explained; a blush escaping to his flushed cheeks.

I looked at Derick and rolled my eyes,'And the rest of the family?'

'I told mum and when she heard about this dinner, she was confident you'd propose and brought everyone here', Oliver replied for him.

I looked over at my mother who simply beamed and waved at me; quite u aware that we've been talking about her.

'And what if he didn't?', Elena chuckled.

'Then, she'd have a lot of explaining to do', Oliver replied.

Elena almost toppled to the floor with laughter. I almost fell with her as she clutched on to my arm to steady herself.

It was almost as if she was completely out of it. It was like I caught some virus from her and I too followed suit.

'Will you stop that?', Oliver begged through wide eyes,'Brother laughing is a weird thing to see'

'Don't I always laugh?', I ask him, puzzled.

Oliver shakes his head,'You only chuckle evilly. You rarely laugh. And when you do-'

Derick chipped in,'It's creepy. Just creepy'

Oliver nodded his head furiously.

I turn to look at Elena who had stopped laughing and was grinning at The two of them. She caught me staring and I suddenly felt her hand entwine with mine. I almost felt like adrenaline was pumped into me. My heart beat racing.

I was in love with her.

Of that, there is no doubt.
