Breakfast was simply the best I ever had. It had all my favorites! Of course, Hildegard had questioned Alice. Alice whispered it to me when she sat next to me.
I made a mental note to that Hildegard for all that she's done. The pancakes were heaven melting in my mouth.
Edward squeezed my hand from under the table. He sat on my other corner. Both Alice and him fought to sit by my side for breakfast.
He looked at me with his mischievous eyes,'Just a little advice in advance for the so called 'suprise'... wear something nice at night'
My eyes widened,'You didn't plan a party did you?'
'No no no! Not a party. I know you're sick of those', he bit his lip,'Just dinner. You and me. Alone time. We rarely seem to get those these days... only in the bedroom of course', he smirked mischievously.
'Shut up', I groaned.
'I couldn't help but overhear... planning to give her golden steak brother?', Oliver smiled. Something of his expression got me thinking that he had a basic idea at least of what Edward was planning for me. I'll make sure to question him if I catch him alone sometime...
Edward looked at me and as if he read my mind, said,'No, Oliver doesn't know exactly. Don't bother questioning him'
'You're so hard sometimes Edward', I whined,'You've made a devil of me. I'm too curious!'
He only smirked in reply. His hand eagerly tapping at the table, I knew for certain he was as anxious as I was to give the surprise already. Maybe even nervous.
But for a reason, I do not understand.
I let out a sigh and continued with the my breakfast.
===========================
I wish everyday was my birthday. I can't believe I'd ever say this but lunch was even better than breakfast.
It was all seafood; mainly lobsters. I knew lobsters come at high prices and I've only had them thrice in my life. Two in my stay at the castle.
The other one time was when I was small, probably six when my father caught a lobster as he fished one day. I smile, thinking of his fishing days. He loved to fish with me on the weekends. We'd take our rods and worms and run to the beach which was a half hour walk from where we stayed. Billy almost drove us every time. Well, mostly his father but Billy took up the job of accompanying us later wards when his father grew ill.
Just thinking of Billy dimmed my mood. He was such a nice guy... to think of him committing rape would sound unbelievable to me a few months back. It was simply not him.
Well it seemed as if I never really knew him now did I? I have to keep reminding myself that I didn't know the real Billy.
'Look at that', Edward whispered to my ears,'Lunch already... the night ticks closer...'
'Okay if you're not going to tell me then please shut the hell up Edward', I whined at the table.
Apparently everyone heard me. Derick snickered,'Don't torture the girl Ed. She's curious and eager enough'
'Yeah... might get her panties in a twist', Oliver chuckled softly. Only me and Edward heard it luckily. It's enough the tension I felt when he came out to his parents. And if he was heard by them he'd be in deep trouble.
And thank god Alice didn't hear. But maybe Leonard did because he almost chocked on his soup but acted as if nothing happened.
