Chapter 33
Six months later
Ardelle's wedding gown had been picked out months ago, but today it seemed so much more beautiful than it had seemed when it was hanging on a rack in a shop—even though it had been beautiful then, too.
Her dark hair was twisted up into an elegant bun, her face dusted with some makeup and her cheeks with a pale pink blush.
As Lily helped Ardelle slip her feet into her shoes, the two of them hummed a soft song together, to calm Ardelle's nerves.
She had dreamt of this day since she was a little girl—of walking down the aisle at her wedding, at wearing a beautiful gown and marrying a kind, wonderful man.
It seemed that although some dreams didn't come true, this one would.
Because Ardelle and Remus' was perfect.
Just like she'd always dreamt her wedding day would be.
