HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU DEAR AmyMarieZ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Many many happy returns of days! I wish you the best life ahead full of happiness and success! *Hugs you*
Welcome all again today...
I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today I'm very lucky to be interviewing our honorable Author AmyMarieZ and winner of a Freedom Award for her book THE CATWALK.
Let's begin the interview. First off, thank you so much for joining us today on your birthday.
Tell us a little something special yourself and your background?
I grew up in New Jersey and went to college on Long Island where I studied naval architecture. After graduating with a class of only 15 (yes, that's for the entire college, it's a very small school...) I moved to Houston, TX, where I now work designing ships.
(People wish her a very happy birthday)
What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?
26, 10/10/91, Libra.
Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?
Short Story. I really like how short stories can be so simple and still so enjoyable to read. I think it really lets you focus completely on the story itself. And also they have the best twist endings I think!
What do people hate the most about you?
I guess I can be pretty annoying sometimes!
Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?
Yup, all the time! Usually I take a break from writing for a bit and just wait for inspiration. No use trying to force it! Sometimes I start a new story if I'm stuck on another one or just write from personal experience and make up new stuff as I go.
How do you react to negative comments?
I try to learn from constructive criticism, but comments that are just mean I try to laugh about (although really I haven't received many comments that are just mean!)
list your top three favorite books.
Tough to pick, it tends to change around, but I'll go with: It, The Shining, and House of Leaves
Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.
Too hard to pick! I've met so many awesome people on Wattpad.
Who are your favorite authors?
The author's of my favorite books (listed above) and a bunch of others that I won't get into here... Sorry for being lazy.
(Lol)
What do your family say about your writing?
Not much haha! My parents just finished reading the novel length story I have on here and the only thing they had to say about it was: "Powerful ending". Lol!
Hobbies besides writing?
Playing soccer, running, hanging with friends, not that much else, I'm an adult now! XD
What do you think about IEscapist? (okay I'm behaving like an attention seeker here)
IEscapist is awesome! She ran a great competition and even remembered my birthday!
(Aww, thanks so much babe!)
Are you living the life you really want to live?
Yup! I have a great job designing boats, have wonderful friends, and a great family!
Relationship status?
In a relationship with my boyfriend.
Best thing about being YOU?
All of the great friends I have that for some reason put up with me!
Is being a writer a gift or a curse?
It depends. (My favorite answer to give for most questions...)
You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?
Fun, friendly, crazy.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?
I always make up stories as I go along. Well, except my short story. That one I actually had a plan for!
What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time?
The Freedom Awards were great, one of the best run competitions I've seen on Wattpad, and also some of the coolest prizes!
How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award?
Happy, and I hope the judges enjoyed reading my story!
Any Message for the people of Wattpad?
I can't think of anything at the moment, writer's block...
(hahahaha lazy :p)
Thank you so much again AmyMarieZ for joining us today. We had so much fun knowing you more. Happy birthday again, party hard! I hope you had fun too :)
