*Walks out in my purple frock..."
DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!
Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!
I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award asiangurlinlove
Thank you so much Rosalyn Young for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now...
Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?
I came to America from South Korea when I was four (eleven years ago), with my father and pregnant mother.
What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?
Currently fifteen, but I will be sixteen in two months and eight days (December 14), which makes me a Sagittarius (or Ophiuchus).
Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?
I won third place in the Teen Fiction genre. I like writing in this genre because I, personally, am a teen, and the story plot (twists and endings) that come to me fit the teen fiction category, although I have a few unpublished works which are of a different genre.
What do people hate the most about you?
I hate silence, so I love talking; sometimes about anything random, sometimes about me.
Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?
Yes, I actually have writer's block right now! (insert sad face) I usually get through it by rereading the previously written chapters or writing other works until I suddenly find inspiration in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping.
How do you react to negative comments?
I am stupid, so I do the dumb thing and respond to hate with hate.
Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.
Definitely TahliePurvis. She's accomplished so much since a young age for the past two(?) years, and I love her writing. It would be great if she could help me improve my writing, although I know that'll never happen. (crying-laughing emoji)
Who are your favorite authors?
Sarah Dessen, Jay Asher, J. K. Rowling
What do your family say about your writing?
They don't know I write, so I guess you could say they have no opinion.
Favourite Quote –
"If you love two people at the same time, choose the second one, because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second." -Johnny Depp
Places you want to visit –
South Korea, England, Dubai
Are you a good liar? Tell a lie.
Sometimes, I'm terrible at it, sometimes, I'm awesome at it. I love dogs and I would do anything for dogs because I love them for than I love or will ever love cats.
What's one thing people love the most about you?
My humor, probably.
What makes you really mad? Name one pet peeve
"Okay." He said - When people mix up that/who and much/many - the tip of a pen MUST be retracted or closed with a cap
Any insane wish? Name one.
I wish I could restart my entire life since I was a baby, but with all the memories I've had so far (except curse words and the endings of certain books).
Are you living the life you really want to live?
No, because I honestly know I can do so much better.
Relationship status?
crushing on the same guy for seven years straight (and going!)
Best thing about being YOU?
I'm pretty good at solving algebraic equations, so hmu if you need help on your algebra hw
Is being a writer a gift or a curse?
A gift, definitely. Writing about different types of people has helped me to always look at both sides of everything.
You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?
loud, talkative, unfiltered
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?
I usually come up with the plot (twists and endings) first, though I then bullet point every single scene that MUST happen in the story.
What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time?
I'm glad I entered, and not just because I won. Next time, it might be better if the scored and reasoning behind them were revealed for all the books, because it would ensure the judges are judging correctly (not that they weren't, I'm just saying in general) and the feedback could help writers improve.
How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award?
Great! I love that my book is well-written enough to win an award, which encourages me to continue being a writer.
Any Message for the people of Wattpad?
