I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award PrairieCreek.

Thank you so much Lynne Mickley for agreeing to this interview. I have dying to interview you like seriously. Now's the time. And haha I'm so happy doing so!!

Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?

I'm a foster (and now adoptive) mom. This background relates to my story, which deals with childhood trauma and how it affects not only the children when they're young, but also when they become adults.

What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?

November 30, Sagittarius.

Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?

I've always considered my stories (most of which I have yet to write) to be romances, but they don't fit that genre. Romance has specific criteria, particularly in published works. In doing a bit of research, I discovered "The Marvels of Prairie Creek" is Women's Fiction. Since that specific genre doesn't exist in Wattpad, I switch back and forth between General Fiction and Chicklit. The first several chapters could also fit in Humor, but I haven't tried moving it to that genre yet. LOL. In this contest, "Marvels" won in General Fiction.

What do people hate the most about you?

I don't know about hate, but people most often comment how quiet (non-talkative) I am. Even my husband has complained I don't talk enough!

What's the most strangest thing you have done?

When I was a teenager I dressed as Peter from the Bible during Vacation Bible School to help a teacher present a lesson.

Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?

If I truly have writer's block, i.e., can't think of what in the world to write, I lay on the bed with earphones, listen to music and just daydream. Most of my stories have come from other books/movies/shows in which I didn't like what happened. I change it to suit my preferences, and soon I have a new story to write! (Unfortunately, most are still stuck in my head, waiting their turn at being written.)

When I'm stuck in a chapter/scene, or just feeling unmotivated, I go back and edit previous chapters. Usually after an hour or three I'm inspired to write new narrative. Editing helps me get back into the characters and story.

How do you react to negative comments?

I haven't had any so far, just constructive criticism. If someone is nasty for no reason, I'll just shrug and move on. Life's too short to agonize over it.
