DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!

Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!

I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award windstruck07.

Thank you so much Karen  for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now...

Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?

Uhm... people say I'm a mother hen? Haha. Well, there is nothing overly special about me, though a guy friend once said that I am "a jack of all trades but a master of none." I have many hobbies aside from writing, though I don't consider writing as a hobby anymore, and I am currently learning how to do online commissions for my art. Some people also say I am "a good listener" and "trustworthy". Does that count?

What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?

I'm 22, born on April 29,1995 and a Taurus

Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?

Arcana won 3rd Place for the Fantasy Category. Yay!

What do people hate the most about you?

People who don't know me are intimidated of me at first glance. I am either too nice or too scary. I think I can be quite condescending too, especially when my patience runs thin. That's what people hate about me.

What's the most strangest thing you have done?

I once had a dream of a friend getting sick and thought it was real. I told my other friends in class that she had a fever, and when my friend showed up, we were all surprised why she came in to class. Like, I was genuinely shocked. I honestly believed that the dream was real, haha!

Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?

Ugh! I've been a victim of writer's block one too many times. It's either I force myself to write despite the quality and just do the edits later, or switch to a different hobby that might (hopefully) inspire the writing juices. Sometimes I read other books, be it in or out of Wattpad. Other times I draw, listen to music, play with cats... just random stuff, really. But the best tip I can really give is to just take a small break. Sometimes writer's block happens because of putting too much pressure on yourself. Be careful not to take breaks too long though, as creative writing, especially when you aim to be a published author one day, takes a lot of discipline in you writing schedule.

How do you react to negative comments?

It depends really. Some negative comments may surprisingly turn out pretty constructive. The ones that aren't, I tend to ignore. You have to admit that you can't avoid getting offend by flames (I've had my fair share in Wattpad alone, and gosh it makes my jaw clench when the hater has worse grammar or plot than me, seriously), but how you react to them is imperative. I rarely explain myself or why I wrote stuff the way they are because I first have to determine whether or not the hater is willing to listen to my defense (and by that I go and stalk their profile and see if their bio implies open-minded or potential Jerk-ulles.)
