DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!
Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!
I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar looking and today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award SheWhoLovesPineapple
Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now with the usual question...
Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?
I can't think of anything interesting that makes me special, so I'll tell an anecdote. I got suspended from high school by throwing a bunch of live crickets into my teacher's classroom.
Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?
Short story. It's not my favorite genre, but in the case of my story, I felt like it was the right choice. If it had been a full-length story, I would have had to do an overwhelming amount of research.
What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?
24. June 20th. I have an intense loathing of astrology, but I'm a Gemini.
What do people hate the most about you?
I'm autistic, so a lot of people are instinctively turned off by my body language and voice.
What's the most strangest thing you have done?
When I was a kid, my brother and my friend and I made lemonade in a bowl, dyed it green, and went out on the sidewalk to kneel on the ground and drink it out of the bowl with straws. Then we shouted "We're drinking green stuff!" at everyone who walked by. (Why? Because we had odd senses of humor.)
Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block?
Everyone does. Having an outline helps with it IMO. That way you can force yourself to keep writing even if you're not inspired.
How do you react to negative comments?
It has been a long time since I've gotten any outright negative comments. I was eleven I think and my story was exactly the quality level you'd expect from a kid that age, plus the person reviewing me had seen some silly comment I'd made on my profile (it was something like "If you flame me I'll use my magic sport to make you lactose intolerant lol xD") and gotten super offended by it so she was extra mean. She shouldn't have been rude but what she said about my story was true. I told her she was a jerk, complained about it to my internet friends, and ultimately used her advice to get better.
Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.
I don't really have close friends here, so I don't know.
Who are your favorite authors?
This list is by no means complete, but some I've really loved are: Suzanne Collins, J.K. Rowling, Louis Sachar, Lewis Carrol, Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, G. R. R. Martin, Lee Weatherly, Connor Kostick... wow this list is really cliche; I need to get into more obscure series. If I add manga authors, Miho Obana, Hidenori Kusaka...
