DIRECTOR: LIGHTS, CAMERA ACTION!
Assalam o Alaikum and hello friends and fans!!
I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar looking and today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award SamantaObaid
Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now...
What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign?
Age doesn't matter unless you're cheese or wine. ;)
Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?
I taught myself how to stop running in the world of runners. I finally stopped to catch my breath, unlike 99.99% of those people in this so-called world.
Since we were born, we had no other choice but to run - leave everything behind to gain some imaginary trophy (power, fame and money) which doesn't really make you feel like a winner when you're old. They all will eventually understand that it's all for nothing. I just understood that at a very young age and stopped running.
Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre?
The genre 'Down By The Riverside' fall under would have to be psychological thriller and adventure romance but it could also be labeled as mystery.
Basically, psychological thrillers let me feel fear in a controlled way, reeling me in slowly by deliberately building suspense. I go inside the heads of morally ambiguous characters as I create moods of anxiety, fury and confusion. Like the characters, I struggle to figure out what's really going on. And with a final shocking twist, the tension gives way to exhilaration. It draws me in.
What do people hate the most about you?
According to buzzfeed, people hate me because I self-pity myself. Apparently, people hate it when I keep apologizing 20 times for a simple mistake and whine.
What's the most strangest thing you have done?
I've done a fair share of weird stuff in my life.
Once, I was laying down and just randomly decided to put my legs up, knees bent and pretended to ride a bicycle.
I held the imaginary handle bars too.
Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block? *
Yes, those devils come back to haunt me, and the only exorcist that can help me make them go away is hypnotherapy. I'm not kidding.
How do you react to negative comments?
First, I prove to them that I'm listening instead of launching at an argument. This means I go out of my way to convey the fact that I'm a pleasant person who is responding with warmth rather than blunt snobbery.
Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.
Probably Emily Slough EmSlough for being inspiring and being the best writer in Wattpad.
Who are your favorite authors?
Miranda Sings. What? Have you read Selp Helf? And no she doesn't have dyslexia lol.
What do your family say about your writing?
They support me but so does dancing bobby.
Favourite Quote –
|| To be old and wise, you must be young and stupid. ||
Are you a good liar? Tell a lie.
I pooped today.
What's one thing people love the most about you?
Again - according to buzzfeed, people like my intellect.
Hobbies besides writing?
What makes you really mad? Name one pet peeve
Are you living the life you really want to live?
Is anyone?
Relationship status?
Why write single when you can write tripple?
Best thing about being YOU?
The best thing about me is that I am what I am.
What is means is that I don't to pretend to be what I am not.
To be what you are is the most difficult thing in this world. Societies are always trying to destroy your individuality and make you a 'product' or a 'human resource' which should be made identical like the products made by machines in the factories. It does not want people to have their own opinion and thoughts.
Is being a writer a gift or a curse?
Both. I'm very blessed that I've been given the gift to write books that keep people entertained. It's not an easy task to sit down and put together a storyline and then write the novel. It's truly an art, and as with any artist, you have to be gifted.
You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they?
A funny unicorn
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?
A well developed plan is what helps me through writer's block actually.
What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time?
It was well organized.
Next time maybe put some reviews as prize for the winners
How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award?
Nice bruh.
