I'm your host and dost Kounj Muzafar. Today we have another honorable and lovely Author and winner of a Freedom Award Mendusbabe

Thank you so much Ashley for agreeing to this interview. So I will start now...

Tell us a little something special about yourself and your background?

The Groupies was actually our senior play this year. I got to write it (obviously, it was based on my book 😜.)

I also directed and played a role ❤️❤️

What's your age, your date of birth and zodiac sign? 

I am 18. My birthday is March 28 and I am Aries... I think

Which genre did your winner book belong to? What draws you to this genre? 

Teen fiction/ young adult.

Well, I am still a teen myself, so I connect to most books, it's also easier to fall in love with the characters ❤️

What do people hate the most about you?

I am too honest / tell it how it is. (Just when people ask for advice.)

What's the most strangest thing you have done?

I am just messed up in general. 😂

Do you ever get writer's Block? Give one tip on how to get through the dreaded writer's block? 

Honestly, I don't. The only time I have ever got writers block was when I was writing the shooting scene in my book 'The Groupies' that wasn't even writers block though, it just took me a long time. I rewrote about 5 times so I was stuck, but not uninspired.

I also can not write smut. I don't have any experience (to be competent honest.) so it's something I have no idea how to write.

Write when your inspired, write when your not inspired, but don't write when you are tired or in a horrible mood (when writing is going to make it worse type mood.)

Write about things your interested in, and give yourself an outline, this helps prevent writers block.

How do you react to negative comments? 

I have been really lucky, I haven't got any comments that were negative. I have deleted the odd comment, or I reply with something like ... Thank you very much 😊

Which person would you like to meet from WP and why? Tag them.

What do your family say about your writing? 

My dad says I am really good, he has read a few chapters and saw my play my mom hasn't read my book but saw the play. She is dyslexic so it's hard for her to read my work but she supports me ❤️

New York on New Year's Eve , would love to see Auschwitz, travel Europe. Honestly I want to see as much of the world as I can.

Are you living the life you really want to live? 

No, I am going to school to be a police officer when I really just want to be writing.

Relationship status?

Single, have been like my whole life .. hah

Best thing about being YOU?

That no one else can do what I can do. I am the only person who can create the book I write. (If that make sense.)

Is being a writer a gift or a curse? 

Writing has helped me through so many things (especially in high school.) however to be a writer, it's competitive and s lot of waiting.

You only get 3 words to describe yourself – what are they? 

Creative, caring, inspirational.

Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you? 

Both, I start with the idea then around 3 chapters I make an outline. It helps me see the picture and keep on track.

What do you think about The Freedom Awards? Would you like to suggest something to better it next time? 

Maybe having all the results posted together, but even that wasn't a huge problem.

How do you feel about winning a Freedom Award? 

I was so excited, I told my whole family, thank you ❤️❤️
