Warning: VERY VERY SAD. SLIGHTLY TRIGGERING SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

You smiled happily, skipping along the road. You clutched a single rose in your hands, smiling dreamily. You had seen Will, a ward from the castle. You had a little crush on the brown eyed boy, and he had given you a rose, blushing and stuttering a happy Valentine's Day. You were in heaven. You're crush had given you a rose, a flower that he had bought with his own saved up money. A rose was a rare thing, quite expensive. Your family wasn't exactly poor, but you weren't exactly rich either. A rose was a rare luxury, and you knew exactly how to preserve it. You rushed inside your house, which was empty as of the moment. Your parents had the best fruits in all Redmont Fief, but they had to work all day to be able to keep up with the orders, so you were usually alone. You rushed up to your room, your (h/c) hair bouncing as you ran up the stairs, and pulled out one of the few books that had gotten for your birthday 3 years ago. You pressed it in the middle of the book, gently closing it as to not ruin the petals. You hugged the book to your chest, squealing internally. You carefully put the book back on your shelf, and went back outside, breathing in the fresh hair. As you skipped along the road, going to the castle, you saw something that broke your heart.

You saw Will, Your Will, giving a rose to another one of his fellow wards, Alyss. You're always saw her as competition, partly because she and Will were really close. But Will assured you that they were just friends, nothing more. You watched as she smiled, a light blush on her cheeks, and...oh god...she kissed him! It was quick, but that mere second broke your heart into shards. You bit your lip, trying not to cry, as Will's eyes caught yours. You lowered your head and began to walk back to your house, holding back a sob. You could hear footsteps running after you, and someone shouting your name, but you didn't care anymore at this point. Your eyes were already watering, making quite hard for you to see. Nothing mattered anymore. The one person that you wanted to be yours...was no longer within your grasp. You had lost the only thing that you had ever wanted,

Will.

Will No-Name.

Will...your first friend, and first love...

Would never be yours.

As you heard Will's voice getting closer and closer, you heard shouting, and distant running. You opened your eyes, to look at Will, who was a distance away, a sad smile on your face...

You felt a gigantic pain on your chest, right next to your heart, and everything went black.

That was short, and incredibly sad. I've been pretty sad lately (who just had to invent this thing called crushes that are so utterly oblivious that they break your heart?)
So here's a sad one shot to reflect my feelings and what happened in my school last Wednesday with my crush. Sorry about that. I promise I'll publish another really happy one soon.
Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote, comment, and smile!
