Chapter 19...
Weights training was exactly that, weights. A mixture of toning and strength building. Boring compared to the anticipation settling in my stomach. Luke sat not 5 feet away from me pushing ten times more weight then I could, making it look like nothing. My mind was all over the place, eyes flicking towards him every few second as I thought about our first official date. I was nervous, having no idea where we were going and thus couldn't concentrate on doing my lifts. I had dropped the bar twice, nearly giving Luke a heart attack in the process. Eventually he couldn't take it any more and handed me dumb bells instead.
Coach came in to check our progress, seemingly happy until he notice Mia wasn't around and stormed off out of the weights room.
When we were done I was a bag of nerves. I had some how managed to work myself up so much that when Luke walked over to kiss me, I blushed bright crimson and fled, slapping myself mentally as I escaped. Instead of running to my room though I veered to the left of my dorm and slammed through Jack's door.
She stared up at me with complete shocked as she stood half naked in her bathroom doorway, straightener's in one hand, smoke in the other.
'I'm so sorry, I need help.' I said pacing up and down her floor. 'My nerves are shot, don't know why. Don't know...clothes, I need clothes...and hair, I need hair...well I have hair but...well, you know.' My eyes flicked between her, my hands and the floor. 'And make up...I don't know where we are going. I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't want to mess it up...or look stupid or.'
A sharp pain flashed across my cheek, bringing me to a complete stop with Jack standing in front of me.
'Pull yourself together women.'
I stared back at her unable to form anymore thoughts but one.
'You smoke?' I asked when my brain caught up with my mouth.
'Of course not.' Jack laughed.
'What's that then?' I stated pointing at her hand holding the cigarette.
'A cigarette.' She replied bluntly.
'Yeah and?'
'What I like the smell.'
'That's such a crock of shit.'
'Is not.'
'Is too!'
'Not.'
I stared at her again with a confused look on my face.
'Fine, it's a crock of shit.' She admitted
'So you do smoke?'
'No!'
Again I gestured to cigarette in her hand.
'Oh frakken hell Rhylee, it's not mine okay.'
'Well I don't see anyone else here.' I stated looking around the room.
'Geez it's mine god damnit.' I familiar muscular voice said from inside the bathroom. I jumped slightly at the intrusion and then walked timidly over to the bathroom, peeking my head around to look inside. There in front of me stood a gorgeous guy wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around he defined waist. I couldn't stop my eyes travelling up his tanned, sculptured torso. He was hot, fit and mouth wateringly yummy. I pulled my eyes away from him looking back at Jack mouthing. 'Who the frak is that?' But I was simply rewarded with a ground breaking grin, and returned my glaze to the man in front of me.
