Chapter 1: I'm Going to South Korea!!

Hey guys :) My name is Ira and this is my first time writing fanfiction. I'm an avid fanfic reader, and thought why don't I write one myself? The main character (you in the story) is inspired by myself. I am obsessed with kpop, mainly Exo and my bias D.O. ;) I'm going to try as much as possible to relate the storyline to reality and the events that are happening with Exo's activities, but this of course remains a fictional story.

And... Booked! Finally, one round trip ticket from Montreal to Seoul. I sat in front of my computer with excitement and joy. After five years of hoping and imagining going to South Korea, I finally booked my trip. I am leaving in less than a week and staying there for a month. It has been my dream destination since I started listening to Kpop. I completely fell in love with the music, and of course it was the same for k-dramas, Korean food, fashion, makeup, and the culture in general. Ok, to be completely honest, my all-time bias, EXO's D.O., was one of the main reasons I wanted to go. But let's be honest, the chances of me actually ever speaking to him was slight to impossible. LOL. I can always keep dreaming and fangirling, can't I?

I printed my plane ticket, then went on JYP's site and printed my entry for EXO's Party People visit as well. Good thing I was able to book a ticket for that. The timing was impeccable. It was so hard getting one, and it was expensive too. But hey, anything to go see EXO up close right? I couldn't believe I am finally going to see my favorite Kpop group of all time, but I especially couldn't wait to see my D.O..

I told my friends about my upcoming trip and although they were happy for me, some thought I was a crazy, Kyungsoo-obsessed person. Well, who can blame them? I AM crazy about him!

The days flew by fast and the time for me to leave was drawing nearer. I packed many cute outfits, makeup, and obviously all the other travelling essentials people need to bring on a long trip. I tried not to pack my suitcase too much so I could save space for the things I was going to buy in Korea. Or I could just bring an empty suitcase... Which I did.

"I'm finally leaving tomorrow!"

I couldn't contain my excitement. I finished up my packing and prepared my passport. I placed all my things near my door, ready to leave the next day. I celebrated the fruit of my labor with a delicious trip to my favorite Korean restaurant, where I feasted on some bulgogi bibimbap and sweet tteokbokki. In a few hours I will be eating "real" korean food, woohoo!! Once I got home I played EXO's new album on my laptop, and went in the shower, changed into my pyjamas and slipped into bed. My friends Pat and Al were going to pick me up and drive me to the airport tomorrow morning. I still couldn't believe that I was going to South Korea.

Chanyeol's deep voice sang on my phone, waking me up (yes, I have Wolf as my alarm clock and ringtone duuuuh). I popped out of my bed, got dressed, and did my morning routine. As I ate breakfast, I received a text from Pat.

"Hey girl, me and my boyfriend are on our way. We'll be there in around 30 minutes. See ya later."

She didn't need to worry, I was already ready.

"Okay see ya in a bit guys!" I replied.

I washed my dishes and went to brush my teeth. I did a last checkup around my apartment before leaving. I grabbed my suitcases and bag and went outside. A few moments later, Al and Pat arrived in front of my building. They got out of the car, hugged me and helped me with my things, then we all jumped in the car.

"So you're finally going to see D.O.," Al said. "I hope you brought a bodybag to put him in when you kidnap him."

"Hahahah, of course I did," I teased back.

"You better do something so that he notices you in the crowd," Pat chuckled.

"No worries, Pat, I know what to do, you know me," I laughed.

"Oh yes hahaha, you are full of surprises".

We arrived at the airport. My friends accompanied me to the departure entrance. We hugged tightly again and said our goodbyes for now. Before getting into the security area, Al exclaimed:

"Go get him, ____, hwaiting!"

"Yeah, just don't get arrested in the process," Pat joked.

"Hahah thanks, guys I will!"

"Stay safe and see you soon," said the couple in unison before walking away hand in hand.

I smiled and went on my way.

"Kyungsoo, uhhh, I mean Seoul, I'm coming for you," I told myself with a big grin. "This is going to be the best vacation ever!"
