Chapter 34: Innocent

I told my members all about me and EXO, and my love troubles with D.O., and what I saw yesterday. Let's just say that seeing D.O. locking lips with another girl wasn't how I was expecting to encounter him after all that time. We weren't even a couple, yet it broke my heart so much.

I shrugged Min Jee's insistence in me calling D.O., but our debut was right around the corner and I couldn't afford any type of distraction whatsoever. They kept telling me that he would come back and fix things, but I pretended to not hear. 'I doubt it, LOL, he's probably with Minah as we speak'...

***The Next Morning, in Mr. Tae's office***

Third person POV. "That's an excellent idea, Do Kyungsoo-ssi," the YMC CEO said. "Don't worry about Minah-ssi, I took care of her case earlier on. Let's just say that her allegations against you were not supported by the evidence that our cameras provided. She seemed to forget there are cameras pointing in every direction of this building."

Mr. Tae, reluctant to believe her, eventually shut her down by showing her the captured videos by the cameras. D.O. was innocent, and she had to pay for it. The business man called off her activities with Girl's Day and removed her from performances, and that, for the next three months.

Minah stormed out of the office, crying her eyes out and covering her face from deep embarrassment. She had a taste of her own medecine. On her way out she bumped into D.O., but humiliated as she was, she ran off to her car and drove away, making her wheels screech on the pavement. D.O. was left wondering what could have happened, and started assuming the worst.

"Neoneomu cham komabda (thank you so much sir), thank you for your kindness and for understanding," D.O. sighed in relief and bowed 90 degrees at him. "You don't know how much this means to me."

Mr. Tae smiled. "Jeongmal amu munje eopseo (It's really no problem). I assume people are innocent until proof of the contrary. And I know what being in love is, I've been through it. It hasn't been easy at the start, but I've been happily married now for 40 years."

"Wow, that's amazing sir, congratulations," D.O. applauded, "for me I'm still getting used to people telling me what is love."

"Well, you're still quite a young man. It's fine, you'll learn with time... Now, before we call the girls in, let me make a quick call, hold on a second," said the CEO as he dialed a number on the telephone.

The phone rang three times on the other line. 

"Ahh, Soo Man-ssi, good to hear from you, chinguya (my friend)!" he gladly expressed. "Oh, she is with you now, is it?... Hmm, ye ye I see... MWO?!?! Haji mara (no don't do that)! Yes he is innocent... I'll send you the video files later... Yes, I handled everything this morning... Hmm... I gave my permission to him, yes... But!... Yes of course, Soo Man-ah, he is your artist after all... And, ohh that's interesting..." Then the CEO paused for a while, listening to the other boss on the phone. "Alright, but it all depends on what they decide... Okay, it's a deal then... Perfect, I'll let you know. Ok, my friend, annyeong, speak soon!" 

Then he hung up and faced D.O., who was eager to know what the SM Entertainment et YMC Entertainment CEOs have discussed.

"Aish that young Minah is really particular, huh..." he sighed, but soon beemed. "But it's all under control now. I'll let Sung Jun-ssi get the girls now. Ohh, D.O.-ssi... There might be one little thing I have to mention..." End POV.

Min Jee was removed from modelling bootcamp, Jui Yu from vocal lessons, Lin from acting session, Rei from dance practice, and I from Korean class. Sung Jun led us to the CEO's office, and we all wondered why we were summoned in the first place. He gave us a reassuring look, and pushed the door open. 

"Ahh, my 5 Nations ladies, come come, we must speak with you," Mr. Tae cheerfully stated.

"Oh shit, no way, why the fuck is HE here?!" I exclaimed in shock as jumped back at the sight of Kyungsoo staring at me.

"Hahah, oh damn, what a pleasant surprise," Rei boasted.

"Shhh, _____-eonnie, please don't run away, just calm down," Min Jee whispered as she grabbed onto my arm.

"Hi girls," D.O. said to my members as he bowed slightly, "H-hi _____," he murmured as he turned to me.

I nodded my head in acknowledgement but kept my eyes averted from him. I was starting to feel all nervous and somewhat irritated. 

"Tae seonsaengnim, what can we do you for? Have... We done anything wrong?" Lin commented towards the boss.

"No, no my child, there's no problem," he assured her and the maknae calmed down. "I just have a lot of things to discuss with you all, so please sit down."

Our manager stood beside the CEO and the members took the four chairs away from D.O. to obviously make me sit beside him. I cursed them in my head and sat down, eyes fixed on the boss and away from D.O., who from the corner of my eyes, I saw still staring at me. 

"So, first things first, I want to talk about your debut," the old man started, clapping his hands and resting his elbows on the desk. All of us girls gulped and stared at each other. "I was thinking about postponing your debut date due to Min Jee's health concerns. You see, Sung Jun has noticed slight delays in your schedules-..." 

"-...and you debuting in around three weeks with the two songs we have chosen, plus filming their respective music videos and all the photoshoots for promotions, and merchandising will be too much," Sung Jun continued. 

"Well said, Sung Jun-ssi," the CEO approved. "I only have my artists' best interest at heart. Therefore, I have decided to delay your comeback for two months."

"No!" Min Jee striked as she stood up abruptly. "Tae seonsaengnim, please! Don't do it! We've been working so hard, and I don't want to let the members down! Please reconsider, sir! I promise, I'll take double medications and work twice as hard and... A-and..." 

Min Jee did not finish her sentence as she broke down in tears, slapping her hands against her face to hide herself. Jui Yu and Lin huddle to her and caressed her back, but chocked down some sobs as well. Mr. Tae handed her his handkerchief. 

"lhal pilyoga eobsseubnida, je aineun (there's no need to get worked up my child)," he whispered softly, "You have to let me finish what I have to say first. There's a way for us to correct that situation..." 

Then he turned to me. At the same time, D.O. scooted his chair closer to mine. 'Whuuut... This is freakin' suspicious,' I thought.
