Hey guys :) This is one of the last chapters! I'm so happy hahah Don't give up, it's almost over!
In the meantime, enjoy how this goes ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kyungsoo's POV. Chen, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Suho, Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, Lay and I accompanied our girls to their van. We had a long and exhausting day. We have rehearsed every single day for the past five days and the show was tomorrow.
"You were amazing today, as usual, Min Jee, I can't wait to see you tomorrow," Chen whispered in her ear as he embraced her. "Text me when you get to your dorm."
"Thanks, Chen-oppa, I will," she answered sweetly.
"Min Jee-ah, come here. Okay, so rest your voice properly, you can't force your vocal chords too much, and drink a lot of water-..." Xiumin instructed his sister but she cut him off.
"Yah, oppa, I know I know stop worrying," she whinned comically.
"I'm just making sure, haha don't get mad," Xiumin replied with a chuckle.
"Stop being too overprotective, hyung, right Min Jee? Isn't he annoying?" Baekhyun teased, only to get smacked by Xiumin on the arm.
"Jui Yu-ah, don't be too nervous for tomorrow, I'll be there with you every step of the way," Suho told Jui Yu as he helped her to the van.
"I know, Suho-oppa. See you tomorrow," she replied as she blew him a flying kiss.
"Ice packets help for soar muscles, use them if you must," Kai directed Rei as he massaged her shoulders lightly.
"Bubble tea also helps calm nerves down. I drink some whenever I can before going on stage," Sehun boasted.
"Ice packets and bubble tea, got it. Thanks guys," Rei responded as she ruffled both Sehun and Kai's hair, then jumped in the vehicle.
"We should do a rap battle for real one day," Chanyeol said to Lin as he led her to the door of the van.
"Indeed, oppa, and we shall," she answered proudly, "rest well for tomorrow."
"Lin, don't forget, keep it hot and steamy, nothing more, nothing less," Lay winked at her as he took over and helped her take her seat.
"Yes, nothing more nothing less, oppa," she nodded as she blushed.
The boys turned around after biding a good night and waving goodbye to the girls. I stepped up to the door of the van with _____ and made her face me.
"You will do amazing ____-ah," I said as I held onto both her hands. "Debut stages are stressful, I know, but they're the funnest. You'll remember it all your life."
I felt her relax under my grip and she smiled as she looked into my eyes. Gosh, she looked brighter than the moon and the stars combined under the evening sky.
"Yeah, I'll try, I'm just scared something will go wrong," she uttered.
I moved a stray hair from her eyes and carressed the back of her hands with my thumbs.
"Hey, I'm with you. Nothing will go wrong," I reassured her and winked, making her smile the smile I loved so much.
"Yah, girls be patient, I'll be right in," _____ blurted towards her members as they "awwwwed" in the vehicle, face pressed against the window or head sticking out of the door.
I turned towards my own members and noticed them staring at us with an equally amused expression, wiggling their eyebrows and puckering their lips.
"Yah, guys mind your own business!" I ordered with a deep voice and a Satansoo glare.
They laughed and entered into the building. I faced _____ once again and hugged her tightly. "Good night, text me when you're home safely."
She let go of me and ran a hand down my torso, giving me shivers down my spine. "You too, Kyungsoo. And yes I'll text you later. See you tomorrow."
She climbed into the van and their manager shut the door behind her, then climbed into the passenger seat. I waved goodbye as they drove away, but instead of heading back to the building, I walked away towards the main road.
I brought my mouth-mask out of my jacket and strapped it on, then pulled my phone out and texted Suho.
Me: 수호 형, 조금 나가있을 테니, 나를 기다리지 마라. 당신과 아이들은 지금 기숙사로 돌아갈 수 있습니다. 나중에 다시 걸어 볼게 (Suho-hyung, I'll be out for a bit, so don't wait for me. You and the boys can head back to the dorm now. I'll walk back later.)
He responded almost instantly.
Suho: 좋아요, 괜찮습니다. 나중에 보자,하지만 너무 늦지 마라! 내일 일찍 자야 해! (Okay, sure no problem. See you later, but don't be out too late! You need to sleep early for tomorrow!)
I cackled at his reply and typed back.
Me: 응, 형이 알아. 그런데, 찬열 형 에게 기타를 가져 오라고 말할 수 있습니까? (Yeah, I know hyung. By the way, can you tell Chanyeol-hyung to bring his guitar out?)
Suho: 예, 엄마가 모든 것을 돌볼거야. (Yes, mommy will take care of everything.)
I walked about the city, the street lights shining above my head. It felt good to be out of the SM walls and live a "normal life" for a bit, allowing me to decompress and escape the hectic idol life. Nobody knew who I was out here, and it was as refreshing as the breeze blowing through my hair.
I found a park surrounded by a fence to keep the children from running away from the playground and jumping onto the road. I sat on a circular wooden stool near it and rested my head on the cold metal bar.
I watched the scene in front of me: two young kids playing, their parents watching them as they were enlaced in each other's arms to keep warm from the chilly air. On a bench near the walkway with the view on the river, a teenaged couple sat, the girl resting her head on the boy's shoulder and him having an arm wrapped around her. A few meters away from them was an elderly couple feeding some birds and laughing as they did so.
I contemplated them and a smile formed on my face. Those people looked so happy, so in love. Then I thought about my own life.
Even though I was surrounded by my bandmates all the time and knew fans around the world loved me, I felt lonely sometimes, as if some part of me was... Missing, incomplete. I haven't dated in a long, no, very long time. I missed the feeling of the butterflies and the happy nervousness that would creep up in my body and shake my whole soul when I saw that special someone. I longed for the warm and heart fluttering touch, and the comforting and soothing voice of a girlfriend when I needed someone there. I just missed... being in love.
But recently I've been feeling it. With _____. And only her. She had that kind of power over me. When I looked at the couples in the park, I could easily picture me and her in that exact same position: a young couple in love, then turning that love into a baby, then growing old together.
If that isn't called love at first sight, given the circumstances that we met, then I don't know what is. If I wanted to know what love is, I couldn't go to Baekhyun, the "love guru". For he himself doesn't know what it is...
It was already pitch black outside when I arrived at the dorm. Nobody was asleep yet, except for Kai snoring on the couch despite Baekhyun, Chen and Xiumin playing video games with the sound blasting from the TV. Suho was rehearsing his song for tomorrow, Sehun was practicing his routine in a corner of the living room and Lay was playing on his phone on a bean bag. So much for sleeping early, huh?
I went to Chanyeol's room and heard the guitar play on the other side of his door.
"Hey, hyung," I greeted him as I opened the door and went in.
"Yo, how was your walk?" he asked as he tuned the chords of the guitar.
"It was fun. Listen, Chanyeol-hyung, would you do me a huge favor, please?" I questioned him as I played with my fingers.
"Sure, yeah, anything for you. What do you need?" he replied, making me smile and sigh in relief. End POV.
