Chapter 9: Exposed

I woke up the next morning with the bright sun shining down on my face. I stretched my whole body and cracked a few bones here and there. I turned to face the bed next to me and noticed that D.O. was not there. The sheets were neatly fixed and the pillow was fluffed. He must've already woken up. 

I got up and fixed my bed as well. I went around the dorm and realized that no one was there, it was so quiet that I swore I could've heard crickets singing. I went to the dining table and read the note that was on it.

We hope you slept well. We will be away for today to our practice room in the SM building. We did not want to wake you so early, so we made our way out quietly. 

If you want to join us feel free to come anytime, just tell the security guard that you are there to see us, we will tell him about you in advance. In the mean time feel free to make yourself at home. We hope to see you soon.

EXO

I smiled at the letter and set it back down. I allowed myself to tour around the dorm. I went into each room, but made sure not to get too comfortable. I simply looked around and tried my best not to touch anything. 

Sehun and Suho's room was so messy. A pile of clothes was laying along the floor as if it were a sea of clothes, and the beds weren't made. Chanyeol and Baekhyun's room was cleaner, but Chanyeol sure had a lot of toys scattered on his bed. Chen and Xiumin's room was special: the floor was quite neat, but the beds were quite occupied. Clothes were neatly piled on Xiumin's bed while Chen's pile seemed carelessly thrown on it. 

I felt like snooping around to find out more about the members but reminded myself that I had to maintain their privacy and respect their space. 

I admired how EXO was able to have a spacious and luxurious place to live in, as I am aware that not all idols can permit themselves a higher quality lifestyle after their debut. 

Each room had its own walk-in closets and enough shelves on the wall behind glass doors to display their entire wardrobe. They really deserved a place like this after all their hard work for many years. 

I went to my suitcase and grabbed an outfit and some makeup, and headed to the bathroom for a shower before heading out. I definitely did not want to stay indoors with such a beautiful weather outside, and I also wanted to visit the boys at SM Entertainment later on. 

I got myself ready and walked out of the two-storey dorm. I inhaled the fresh air and let the sun kiss my skin. I walked about the streets and found a café. I went in and observed the menu. A lot of Korean desserts and pastries tempted me. I allowed myself to spend a lot on food, anyway it would serve as my breakfast and an early lunch. I payed for my food and a large cup of caramel latte, and sat on a small couch in the corner of the café. 

Suddenly, something catches my eye. A group of three young girls sitting in front of me, schoolgirls not more than 18 probably, were reading a newspaper. The headline was big and bold, and although I could not understand it because it was obviously written in Korean characters, the photo underneath it definitely made my blood freeze in my veins and my eyes larger as if they were going to pop out of their sockets. It was a picture of EXO, and underneath it was a snapshot of me, and the members walking away from Tmark Grand Hotel and heading to our van.
