Chapter 4: Party People

Hey guys :) Here is Chapter 4 of the story! You are continuing your visit around Korea. But one thing is still lingering in your mind: who was that idol at Myeongdong? Were you ever going to see him again?

'Who was he?' 

That was the question that haunted my mind. In every waking moment I thought of him. Before I went to sleep I thought of him. When I took a shower, or ate, or did nothing I thought of him. Everywhere I looked and went I thought of him... It was starting to drive me crazy. To think that not having been in Korea for even less than 24 hours and having a Kpop idol crash into me and me cursing after him was indeed not anything I was expecting to happen... to ME, in real life, at least. 

I tried to guess who the blind idiot was with the little of what I could remember of what he looked like. Big, brown eyes, possibly black hair, and taller than me for sure, with a really deep voice. It could have been anyone. Was it D.O.? Lol, I wished. Or anyone from Super Junior? Donghae, perhaps? No, Suju hasn't had a comeback in a while... Or maybe any of the handsome BTS or Seventeen boys? Jungkook, Mingyu, maybe? Arrrrgg, this is getting frustrating for real! 

I went about my trip thinking about this mystery boy. I don't suppose I'll ever even see him again anyway. But I put my guard up and got my camera ready in case I would run into another idol. And made sure I had no drinks in my hands. Who knows who I'll see in Lotte World, Bukchon Hanok Village, or even Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain? I mean, it is a small world after all.

The first week of my trip was almost over, and what better way to end it than with the show I reserved at Party People, featuring EXO! It was time to head to Cheongdam-dong, at JYP's headquarters. I was so ecstatic and excited. Finally meeting my kings! I prettied myself up, prepared my camera and headed out of the hotel.

JYP's building was fascinating. It was a big, grey building with a cylindrical area with billboards of the company's artists exposed on the walls for the fans. I got out of the taxi and went in line with the other fans. So many girls of all ages were there, yelling, screaming, cheering and waving their EXO banners and merch while praising their biases. All I had was my EXO Miracles of December sweater with D.O.'s name and number plastered behind it. D.O. stans smiled at me and gave me high-fives. 

We were welcomed to enter the building and lead to the studio by bodyguards. It was a small and very colorful room. A metal bar separated the crowd from the stage, where a live band was set up and Party People hovering on the wall. Cameras, stereos, stage lights, and EXO emblems were everywhere. On another platform was a long sofa and tables to lounge as well as a light brown bar with lots of alcohol. The set was so lit. 

The show began with JYP welcoming the audience and presenting himself. The anticipation and energy from the crowd grew every second. JYP then welcomed EXO, and soon after the eight members walk onto the stage. The fans and myself went ballistic and squealed with joy and excitement. 

'Omg, omg, omg! I'm in the same room as EXO!' I fangirled. 'They look so freakin' hot and OMG, D.O. looks like a freakin' meal as usual!' There I was, seeing my favorite Kpop idols with my own eyes and breathing the same air as them. 

The members smiled, waved and bowed to the crowd. They started the show with Power. Lights, camera, music and... ACTION! The members performed their song with such happiness and power. Of course, my eyes were glued on D.O. 99% of the time, but I admired the whole group as well. The vocal trinity, D.O., Baekhyun and Chen delivered their lines perfectly. Chanyeol's "Awoo yeah!" and funny jump after the instrumental breakdown gave me life, and Sehun's rap made me laugh, but I was still proud of him. The dance line popped their moves precisely, with Kai spinning his way to Exo Planet during his dance solo. The rest of the members killed it as well, making an overall beautiful opening to the show. 

The fans were going crazy. I cheered loudly and clapped so hard I thought my hands were going to bleed. 

The show went on with EXO introducing themselves one by one. Each member was truly charming and cute. But Kyungsoo though, was just perfect and handsome. We got to see a little more of their personalities. Then JYP led them to the sofa, where he asked questions and conversated with the group. My favorite part was when they spoke about girlfriends and relationships. 

'I'll be your wife, D.O.,' I fantasized.

After, they sang a part of Boomerang and an acoustic version of Call Me Baby, with Chanyeol playing the guitar. They were so magnificent and talented. Their live voices sounded exactly like the studio versions, or even better. EXO literally eats their albums for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

Chanyeol had his time to shine when he sung Creep in English. His members and the crowd were smiling and cheering him on. Chanyeol really did have a beautiful singing voice, I was sure glad that SM made him sing more. The quirky idol sung the song as if it was his own. 

When he finished, he glanced and smiled at the crowd. His eyes crossed mine for a split second and that was enough to get me all flustered. I felt my cheeks get hot and red. However, as he averted his gaze, Chanyeol looked right back at my direction. He couldn't be looking at me for sure, there were so many prettier girls there. But then again, I felt my heart beat faster and by then I was sure I looked like a live tomato. He did not remove his eyes from me though. I started to fix myself, by fear that something was on my face, my sweater was stained or my hair was misplaced. I also looked around me to see if there was any other particular fan that caught his "oh-so-special" attention. 

Fans next to me started chuckling and cheering, thinking that the tallest EXO member was staring at them. If only they knew that wasn't the case... Chanyeol kept his vision on me, his eyes were kind of just... locked onto mine. He had a sort of intrigued and awed expression. I moved a few spots away from where I was standing to distract him, but to no avail. His eyes kept following me.

'What the hell, Park Chanyeol, why are you staring at me?' I questioned. 'I'm not even sure if I should feel flattered or weirded out...'
