Chapter 26: Chosen One

"I'm in," I whispered, looking at the ground.

Sung Jun' eyes widened and his mouth formed the shape of an "O". He leaned in closer to me, as if he had not believed what I just said.

"I'm sorry, misseuh _____?..." he asked.

I looked up at him and stared directly into his pupils. "I said I'm in. I accept your offer."

The DreamT's manager's face lit up. He jumped up and down and shook my hand violently. 

"That's perfect, my dear! I already called the CEO, because I was sure you were going to end up saying yes! He told me he's got the contract and paper work ready. This is amazing news, omo! Great, let's get to the company right away then!" 

I forced a smile and nodded, still pained from my goodbye with EXO. Sung Jun helped me place my suitcases in the trunk and we took our seats in the car. He pressed on the gas pedal and sped away. 

***Meanwhile in EXO's dorm***

Third person POV. "Hyungs! Dangsinege malhalge isseoyo (I have something to tell you)!" Sehun panted as he barged in from the backdoor of the kitchen. 

All the members were united in the living room, surprised by Sehun's sudden appearance from an unnoticed disappearance. 

"Yah, neo eodi isseossni (where were you)?!" Suho questioned, upset and weirded out by the situation.

"Hyungs, naemaljal deuleola (listen to me)!" the maknae insisted. The older members walked closer to him. "I saw _____ go in a car with some guy and drive off!" 

The other seven members gasped and stared at each in complete shock. 

"Mwo!? Do you know who the guy was?" D.O. yelled, furry, confusion and disappointment rising from within him.

"Maybe it was a taxi?..." Baekhyun asked.

"Yah, Sehun-ah, are you sure you saw well?" Chanyeol wondered, hoping Sehun did. 

"Why would she leave with a random guy?" D.O. exclaimed. 

"I don't know, but he looked like a business man 'cause he was in a suit and tie, but I didn't recognize him from behind the bushes... But he did have a nice Black Mercedes," Sehun said, trying to recall as much as he could of what he saw. 

"You sneaked out again and followed ____ this time? Hahahah!" Kai cackled. 

"Did you get the license plate?" Chen pointed out. 

"Aish... No, I couldn't read it because the trunk was opened pretty high," Sehun replied while staring down. He suddenly remembered some of what he heard though. "But I heard _____ say 'I accept your offer', and the guy saying 'great, let's get to the company right away then!'".

Everyone went quiet, sinking in profound thoughts. 

"Hmmm... What did that mean? I thought she was leaving for the airport?..." Xiumin stated after a long and heavy moment of silence in the room. The members simply shrugged at each other.
