Flashback POV. I kept thinking about Sung Jun's words. Declining his offer seemed like the most reasonable and intelligent decision, but accepting it also felt like a good move. I gazed out of my window as we drove through Seoul and thought about how it would be my home if I were to make a life here as an idol. At the same time, I thought back about the fact that I came to Korea for a simple visit, a fun trip to get away from all the stress and life back in Canada. I literally did not sign up for any of this, but for some twist of fate, it happened to me... I still had a few more minutes to think about the life-changing decision I would have to make and tell Sung Jun before getting to EXO's dorm. But I knew that whatever that may be, I would not take it back... End POV.
We arrived in front of the two storey house. My palms started to sweat and cold shivers ran down my spine. I felt very nervous and uneasy.
"So, misseuh _____-ah, have you had enough time to think about my offer?" Sung Jun asked.
"Well, yes and no... I will quickly go get my things, say goodbye to EXO, and I'll come back with you later," I answered while opening the car door.
Sung Jun nodded and said "Yes of course, please take your time. I'll be waiting in the car, but I'll park in another spot, a little further down the street."
With hesitating baby steps, I made my way to the front door of the dorm and rang the doorbell. I heard movement from the living room and heavy footsteps running towards the entrance like a hoard of elephants. The door swung open and revealed an ecstatic Sehun, Baekhyun and Kai.
"______!! You're back!! Hyungs, ____'s here!!" they screeched with large smiles and sparkling eyes.
Suho, Chen and Xiumin came up behind them with the same expression.
"Yah, ____-ah! Where were you? We were so worried!" the elder members blurted.
D.O. arrived, pushed his hyungs aside and took me in in a suffocating hug.
'What?... Why is he being like this? What's gotten into him? ' I wondered, a little taken aback from his sudden shift of behavior towards me.
"Omo... _____ I'm so glad you're back, safe and sound" Kyungsoo stated, relief and happiness coloring his silky voice. "I really need to talk to you, in private after."
"Uhhh, I really need to tell you all something too, actually," I replied while looking at the rest of the members, who looked back at me with quizzing eyes. 'But where's Chanyeol?' I searched for him, but he was nowhere to be found.
"What's wrong, _____? Is anything bothering you?" Suho worriedly asked.
"Actually, I've come to tell you all that uhh, unfortunately, I will be leaving today... My flight is in a few hours...-" I said, but was abruptly interrupted by Chanyeol, who popped out from the living room.
"____, you're leaving us?... I thought you said you wanted to stay longer, that we were going to make arrangements with Suho-hyung, and all that?" The Happy Virus' usual bubbly and glowy expression became melancholic and dull, especially after he noticed D.O. looking at him severely.
"I'm very sorry, oppas, but... I can't stay here anymore... I booked an earlier flight because, uhh, something came up, and I'm needed back home..."
